When people ask, how much does cremation cost? I fi nd it very hard to instantly answer. I fi nd that people are actually asking if we cremate instead of bury the full body and casket etc. in a cemetery what is the cost difference. To answer them I would need to know where within the funeral process that they actually want cremation to happen.

1. Before any formal service. A. After a private family viewing (with or without embalming, with or without casket (purchased or rental) B. Public viewing or visitation with embalming, with or without casket (purchased or rental).

2. All of the above with formal funeral service and then instead of going to the cemetery, go to the crematory.

3. Then what do they wish to do with the ashes? A. Have them disposed of. B. Keep them at home. C. Scatter them. D. Bury them. E. Do you wish to have them preserved or return to the soil? There are many more combinations.
