Jesus called the children over and said, “Let the little children come to me!
Never send them away! For the Kingdom of God belongs to men who have hearts as trusting
as these little children’s. Anyone who doesn’t have their kind of faith will never get within the
Kingdom’s gates.” (Luke 18:17 – Living Bible)
Insanity is doing the same things over and over and
expecting different results. (Albert Einstein)
To reboot your faith in 2017, you must first have a real
relationship with Jesus
I count everything as loss compared to the possession of the priceless privilege of knowing
Christ Jesus my Lord . . . For my determined purpose is that I may know Him,
that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him,
perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly … (Philippians 4: 8, 10 – Amplified Bible)
God has given men eternal life and this real life is to be found only in his Son. It follows naturally
that any man who has genuine contact with Christ has
this life; and if he has not, then he does not possess this life at all.
(I John 5:11-12 – Phillips Version)
Here, I’m standing at the door, knocking. If someone hears my voice and opens the door,
I will come in to him . . . (Revelation 3:20 – Complete Jewish Bible)
To reboot your faith in 2017, you must be intentional
about your spiritual growth
Just as you trusted Christ to save you, trust him, too,
for each day’s problems; live in vital union with him.
Let your roots grow down into him and draw up nourishment from him. See that you go on growing
in the Lord, and become strong and vigorous . . . (Colossians 2:6-7 – Living Bible)
To reboot your faith in 2017, you must be regularly connected
with other Christians
We must consider how to encourage each other to show love and to do good things. We should not stop gathering together with other believers, as
some of you are doing. Instead, we must continue to encourage each other even more as we see the
day of the Lord coming. (Hebrews 10:24-25 – God’s Word Translation)
All the believers were together and had everything in common. Every day they continued to meet
together... they broke bread in their homes and ate together . . .
day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house they never stopped teaching and
proclaiming the Good News. (Acts 2:42, 44, 46-47, 5:42)

To reboot your faith in 2017, you must invest yourself in a meaningful ministry.
Since God has shown us great mercy, offer your lives as a living sacrifice to him. Your offering must be only for God and pleasing to him, which is the
spiritual way for you to worship . . . Each one of us has a body with many parts, and these parts all
have different uses.
In the same way, we are many, but in Christ we are all one body … We all have different gifts, each of which came because of the grace God gave us . . .
Do not be lazy but work hard, serving the Lord with all your heart.
(Romans 12:1, 4-6, 11 – New Century Version)
To reboot your faith in 2017, you must give generously
Remember —a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants
generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. Don’t give
reluctantly or in response to pressure.
“For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need.
Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
(2 Corinthians 9:6-8 – New Living Translation)
You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus:“It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
(Acts 20:35 – New Living Translation)
God wants his children to become like Him. He wants you to learn that you can give without
loving but you cannot love without giving.
(Rick Warren)
God loved the world so much
that He gave His one and only Son . . . (John 3:16)
To reboot your faith in 2017, you must continually tell others the
good news about Jesus
Tell all the nations how wonderful he is! Tell people everywhere about the amazing things he does.
(1 Chronicles 16:24 – Easy To Read Version)
Be wise when you engage with those outside the faith community; make the most of every
moment and every encounter. When you speak the word,
speak it gracefully (as if seasoned with salt), so you will know how to respond to everyone
rightly. (Colossians 4:5-6 – The Voice)
