Notes From Your President

If you weren’t with us at Tryon International Equestrian Center for Saturday Night Lights, youmissed some incredible beauty (although I enjoyed the water trucks and tractors almost asmuch as the show). The flyover by the WWII planes was also quite impressive. You can’t beat“FREE” for a wonderful show! We will definitely go back.

Please see the list of supplies needed by The Spartanburg Humane Society which is printed inthis month’s newsletter. Some of the kittens they receive are so young they must be fosteredin homes until they are able to survive at the center, so they have a special need for bags of drykitten food and for small one-serving cans. You may bring your donations to any club function.

It’s time to find your red, white, and blue clothing and your Fourth of July recipes. Our July 2nd

meeting at Teresa’s pool will be a Proud-to-Be-an-American celebration. The club will furnishbeverages and paper and plastic products. The board of directors is pooling our resources forhotdogs and fixings, watermelon, and homemade ice cream. You should bring either a side dishor a dessert and your donation for the pets at the animal shelter.

We will continue our American theme with the National Parks 100th Anniversary IMAX film atDiscovery Place in Charlotte.

See you July 2nd at Teresa’s.

Barbara

“Inspired by Italian trattoria cuisine, culture, and conversation,

Romano’s Macaroni Gril l has been proudly serving unforgettable meals that leave a lasting impression to our

deserving guests since 1988 – with knowledge, care and Italian charisma infused in everything we do.

At Romano’s Macaroni Grill , we know that for our guests any night out is a big night out – and it is our

responsibility and privilege to treat it as such. That’s why we start every meal off right: With a bottle of wine

at the center of the table, while you explore our menu of expertly handcrafted rustic dishes and Italian

classics. Warm distinctive touches, like our signature honor system wine and bustling open kitche n, create a

memorable, sensory experience that you’ll remember long after you leave the table.”

Come join us on Tuesday, July 19th at 6:30 pm for our July mini-social in Greenville. A sign upsheet will be available at all club functions and we hope that several of our friends from thePalmetto Club can join us. Please contact me if you wish to sign up no later than Monday, July18th at [email protected].
