Miller Johnson | We Are Here Campaign
The legal industry is traditionally a male-dominated field, and Miller Johnson realized the
importance of their badass female attorneys. The team needed a marketing campaign to
highlight their strong and passionate female attorneys for both internal and external audiences.
The team at 8THIRTYFOUR developed the tagline We Are Here, along with a series of ads. Our
creative team designed customized ads in various sizes for the business and corporate,
employment and labor, personal legal services, and litigation practices.
We also executed a number of public relations initiatives and secured numerous pieces of
earned media.

Egypt Valley Country Club Egypt Valley came to 8THIRTYFOUR to address an identity crisis. When asked, members of the
Club were unable to uniformly describe EVCC’s goals, mission, and culture, even though they
are personally active participants in these elements. When there is no clear brand, it is difficult to
build connections with members, potential members, and community, which is a key goal for
the decades-old club.
Through extensive research, surveys, and interviews, 8THIRTYFOUR was able to accurately
capture the spirit of Egypt Valley through a new visual brand and language on updated website
copy, sales materials, membership packets, and more, that is welcoming, modern, and inclusive.

ACLU | LGBT Aging Initiative
The ACLU of Michigan has partnered with
8THIRTYFOUR for a 2-year LGBT Aging initiative. This
initiative, funded by the Michigan Health
Endowment Fund, runs from fall 2017 to December
2018.
The objectives of the initiative are to reduce
isolation and improve care for LGBT older adults in
three Michigan regions, by replicating a successful
Detroit-area collaborative pilot project between
local LGBT service organizations and the Area
Agencies on Aging.

driver recruitment. The PPC space has been effective in keeping a full pipeline of potential
drivers for their team.
For the past couple of years, AdWords PPC campaigns for Holland Special Delivery have
achieved and maintained the following statistics:
• 55+ potential drivers converted each month
• 5.19% conversion rate
• 6.26% click-through-rate
These metrics are impressive considering the website is poorly optimized. There are plans to
rebuild the website in the next 6 months, which will only further enhance PPC performance.

Cedar Crest Dairy distributes dairy and other food items across the state of Michigan. As a
family-owned company based on relationships, their leadership is highly committed to being
personable and having fun with what they do.
The new website for this client required a strong understanding of their personality, and they why
behind their business. Their children and grandchildren love Cedar Crest products, and their staff
is truly passionate about the relationships they have fostered with local stores around the state.
Their drivers are known to give out their personal cell phone numbers, and go out of their way to
deliver a single box of m&ms if a customer runs out.

KIM BODE, Principal & Founder
As the owner of 8THIRTYFOUR Integrated Communications, Bode oversees the
strategic direction of the firm and assists with all public relations and strategy
deliverables. 8THIRTYFOUR was borne from Bode’s passion for communications
and more than a decade of experience in strategic planning, marketing
communications, public relations, event planning, and community outreach.
SARAH ABEL, Managing Director
As the Managing Director of 8THIRTYFOUR Integrated Communications, Abel
oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm, provides strategic counsel, and
supports business development. Prior to joining 8THIRTYFOUR, Abel served as the
Communications Manager for Rockford Construction’s development team,
overseeing marketing, communications, and community relations.
KAYDEN GRINWIS, Digital Director
Grinwis directs 8THIRTYFOUR’s robust digital division that covers all things digital:
PPC advertising, SEO, website strategy, UX, email marketing, social media, and
CRM integration. He also drives business development strategies for the firm. In
past roles, Grinwis built a completely custom, automated sales workflow and
reporting system for a multi-national sales team.
