M *+ /harmacogeneticsThis course will focus and deal with genetically caused variations in drug response0which are basically attributed either to drug metabolism or drug%receptor interaction.-mphasis will be directed to pharmacogenetic conditions in humans transmitted bygenes affecting drug absorption0 distribution0 metabolism0 ecretion0 and receptoraction. Selected studies dealing with pharmacogenetics will be reviewed0 and methodsand tests employed in the screening of population to ascertain how a particular trait isinherited will be evaluated. 9roup discussion will be conducted to review and evaluate
