To maintain a stable supply of medical gases,it is necessary to establish amonitoring system which surely traces the flow of invisible gas from thesource of supply through piping to the section to use the gas.We have beenoffering various monitoring systems which are possible to grasp theinformation of supply source such as the amount of gas remaining in the rightand left banks of manifold and the operating condition of supply station and

the pressure of gas supplied at each area of section where the gas is used. Inthis system, a supply pressure down and a supply station's malfunction aresurely grasped by audio-visual tracing.

The medical gas outlet which the medical staff such as doctors and nursesuse for daily medical care must be so designed as not to allow a crossconnection to a different medical gas not intended.We have developed a pinguide system to prevent a cross connection mechanically and, furthermore,we adopted a visual identification system by use of colors respectivelydesignated to the exclusive kind of gas, obtaining a remarkable effect. In orderto prevent a cross connection when attaching a medical gas outlet valve at thetime of installation or maintenance, a pin guide system is adopted to the valvebase of wall type outlet, and DISS standard is applied to the hose connectingsection in the case of reel type and ceiling type outlets.
