    1. On the MathWorks website, select Sign In at the top right-hand corner.

    2. Select Create Account.

    3. Enter your personal details using your university email address

    *username*@student.unimelb.edu.au or

    *username*@unimelb.edu.au if you are a staff member (replace

    *username* with your own university username).

    4. Check your university email to verify your MathWorks account.

    Installation

    1. Download the latest version of MATLAB from the MathWorks website by clicking the Download R2020a button, then the Windows button.

    2. Open the installer by double-clicking the download file. Windows will automatically unzip the file and begin the installation.

    3. Select Yes when prompted with “Do you want to allow this app to

    make changes to your device?”.

    4. Enter your MathWorks account details and click Sign In.

    5. Select Yes next to “Do you accept the terms of the license agreement?”

    and click Next.

    6. Click the license Student under “Licenses” and click Next.

    7. Ensure your Name and Email are correct then click Next.

    8. Choose desired installation folder or leave as default and click Next.

    9. Ensure “MATLAB’ is selected and any additional add-ons you wish to install. Leave as default if you are unsure, as add-ons can also be

    installed later. Click Next.

    10. Add shortcut to desktop if desired or click Next.

    11. Click Begin Install.

    12. Wait for the installation to complete, then you are finished!
