5.1.3 Assign a Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) to a Virtual Network Connection (VNC) (Fig. 5-3) By assigning a VLAN to a VNC, you are allowing a virtual connection to occur between AT&T NetBond® and Blue Jeans. The following information is required: • VLAN IP [Enter the network address of a /29 subnet that you have allocated

to this VLAN. Do not include the “/29” subnet mask. The subnet should be sourced out of your enterprise IP address space. This does not need to be a publicly registered subnet.]

• VLAN Name: [Enter a VLAN name of your choice. Consider using a similar name to what the VNC was named in section 4.1.3. Limit is 19 characters.]

• Click the Submit button. Note: This may take several minutes to complete, during which time a status screen will appear (Fig. 5-5). There is a Refresh button in the upper-right corner that can be clicked to check provisioning status.

5.1.4 You will receive an Email from AT&T Cloud Services shown in Fig. 5-4 once the VLAN is created on the VNC. Contained in this email is information that the BLUE JEANS needs to complete the VLAN connection to their network. This email needs to be sent to the BLUE JEANS at [email protected]. Existing customers with the BLUE JEANS will need to include with this email a requested date and time that your current service can be moved over to the NetBond Connection to prevent service disruption.

Fig. 5-5

5.1.5 After Blue Jeans has successfully completed the VLAN creation work on their side you will see the VLAN Status change to “Active” and you will see the “Success” in My Task Manager (Fig 5-6)

5.1.6 Once at least one VLAN is established and active, routes from the AT&T MPLS VPN will propagate to Blue Jeans service at 3am local time. Once the initial propagation is complete, routing updates through additional VLANS will be shared immediately (and will not require overnight propagation).

5.1.7 At this point, connectivity has been established between your AT&T MPLS VPN

and your newly created Blue Jeans account. After the overnight route propagation, the last step is to connect any new or existing Blue Jeans VNETs to the Blue Jeans account.
