For my e-on brief the main thing I concentrated on was the fact that they want to communicate with (Generation Y) which is the generation I am apart off. The generation that grew up being introduced first hand to new technology and can adapt to new technology in matter of hours.

I started to think about brand collaboration for e-on to try out. I chose the two brands not just because it seems simple, but both companies are innovative with regards to new concepts. The company I have chosen to collaborate together with E-on is Nike one of the worlds leading brands in Sports footwear and a market leader for the age range being targeted. Nike has collaborated with companies such as Apple, TomTom and Levi’s and many more, they are open to collaboration ideas. Also I chose Nike because Generation Y are influenced the brand growing up with it.

I have undertaken to design a shoe with a leading energy supplier that has the capability to generate heat within the sole of the shoe when the subject is cold and can cool down the sole when the subject is warm, this can be great when the subject is taking a jog and wants to cool off. There will be padding insulation for the sole so that the comfortability of the shoe isn’t taken away.

There will be a lot of incentive in this collaboration to get people interested in e-on its not just a case off bringing out a trainer, the aim of this collaboration is to get people moving especially the generation of youth today, some people drive 2 minuets down the road when they can easily walk or run, the stepometer at the back off the shoe will show how many more people are being more energy efficient by walking instead of driving.

The website will upload peoples steps and be able to add the data from the registered trainer, therefore people will be competing for the weekly top score, which will then enter them into things that e-on can prove for them this could include, free nikee-on personalized trainers, concert tickets of even something as small as money of their next bill.
