REMINDER Cold Weather Wear - Parents please remember to send your chi ld to school i n the appropr iate clothing for the wint ry season Boots coats hats and gloves wi th properly marked names are necessary dai ly Parents may wish to send an ext ra pai r of pants to school for students to change into
WEATHER PERMITTING We wi l l be going outside for recess on a dai ly basi s When the wind chi l l i s above 15 degrees Fahrenhei t the students wi l l be going outside as determined by the school of f i ce
Maple Avenue Construction Project FYI Please be aware of an upcoming project the city of Chardon has planned for Maple Avenue slated to begin in the spring of 2016 The project as it is proposed will affect all of Maple Avenue from North Hambden to Canfield Drive Improvements will include water line replacement storm sewer improvements a new sanitary main and a complete re-profiling and resurfacing of Maple Ave and the connecting intersections At this time it is estimated that the project duration will be at least (7 ) months + - with a tentative start date of April 2016 Due to the nature of the work throughout the project the closure of Maple Avenue to all traffic with the exception of emergency services local traffic (residents only) school bus traffic (pick-up and drop off) trash collection and mail service is being proposed Buses that typically use Maple Ave as a means to get to and from the schools in this area will be detoured along with all other traffic usually traveling this street We will be sure to share more information on this upcoming project as we receive it
