Parent Pay All of our parents will have received a letter explaining to them that we will be going cashless and have introduced ParentPay. This is a cashless system to pay for expenses that might be incurred in school (school dinners, trips etc). If you have still not signed up, can you please do this to ensure that you are familiar with the system and can access it. We are intending to go cashless in the near future and would appreciate all parental support in making this happen. For those of you who have done this, it is appreciated as it helps us work through problems that might occur on the system. January 12st 2017 twitter.com/maplegrovepri Holiday requests This time of the year we are receiving many requests for holidays. We will not be authorising any holiday requests that are submitted. It is government guidance and school policy to ensure that all children have a good level of attendance throughout the school year. If they are not in school this can impact progress and learning resulting in the children falling behind their peers academically. Dogs We have had recent reports of dogs on site, or around the school gates. If you are walking a dog to school with your children, please be aware that they are not allowed on site. This is in the interest of health and safety of the children and ensuring that we are preventing any potential accident or injuries. We appreciate that the dogs might be pleasant and well behaved, but due to their unpredictability, they must remain off site. If you have relatives or friends bringing your children in who might not get the newsletter to see this message, can you please pass this on to ensure that they are also aware of this. Trust Visit This week we hosted members of the LAT for a visit around the school. They were looking at a range of different things such as the learning environment, behaviour, the building as well as getting a better understanding of the teaching and learning methods that we are now using in school. The feedback was exceptionally positive from this, and the behaviour of the children was exemplary. The children really showcased the excellent learning that they have been doing, showed exemplary behaviour and did a great job showing off the school. Well done to all children and staff that were involved in this, and we are looking forward to building on the successes that we have had over the past few terms in the Spring and Summer term this year.

SwimmingWell done to Lee who camein to show off his fantasticswimming badges. Lee hasbeen working hard toachieve these in hisswimming lessons and welook forward to seeingmanymorebadgesinthefuture.
