ABOUT THE SPACE

Our fun multi-level space helped to set the tone in the office environment. Cat-walks and staircases connected functional work spaces in what was once an old trucking garage.

The five office levels were called dungeon, level, mezzanine, balcony and tower. From a simple stapler to a computer ID all items were labeled accordingly. (See description of our Office Handbook on next page.)

So many talented people made FTF what is was - a wonderful environment to work and play. Although schedules were tight, we all respected each others abilities and enjoyed the process of creating together.

• Designed, constructed, organized, problem solved, budgeted & managed manufacturing of product to be used by multiple groups.

• Cards, board game, tray, spinner and playing pieces are manufactured in bulk for multiple groups. Trivia cards are exclusive to each group and printed in a limited run. Unique “cameo card” displayed through lid window.

• The compact size is designed for a book shelf, coffee table top and point-of-purchase countertop display.

Community Game (Database) Enable any group to create their own game.

• Designed, developed, organized, problem solved, strategized & managed creation of an online database.

• Hired and worked with a developer to create database.

• Using the visual database, any group can create their own game. Users input questions, upload/crop images and export data for printing.

Teach Cub Scout Orienteering

• Created, wrote, organized, and implemented a letterbox walking tour of our village.

• The scouts used their orienteering skills to mark the locations on the map. This made the requirement informative and interesting.

Family Photo Album (Digital)

Organize our family photo album

• Created, developed and organized a visual family website photo album.

• Photo of our living room became the website homepage.

• Photo albums on shelves and family keepsakes on tables became links to photo and video pages.

• Periodically, a set of china or a virtual birthday cake (candles, family singing, et. al.) may appear in our virtual living room.

• We now have a well-organized, easy to update, digital photo album for all family members to enjoy.

Cultural Arts Introduce children to classic and contemporary stories.

• Conceived and created programs to introduce children to opera, classics, contemporary stories and poetry.

• Using abridged version of book and music selections, children/guardians are actively involved together in storytelling, prop making, music, stage crew, and the portrayals of the characters.

• I originally created this program to actively involve kids in several Summer Sunday School programs.

Oversized Coloring Book

Entertainment for my daughter’s birthday parties.

• Covered entire hallway (approx. 8’ x 24’) with thick white paper.

• Drew black & white figures on paper per the theme of the party.

• The “child” came out in many adults. Young and old were drawn to picking up a crayon and adding their signature to the masterpiece.

• The wall coloring book became an annual birthday activity.

“Take Your Daughter to Work” Dayat Function Thru Form

• To teach kids the different aspects of working in an office environment.

• To learn more about themselves.

• Created master doc with questions, such as, what will you be doing in 20 years from now.

• Kids filled in a timesheet (artwork, photography, writing, proofing, print time)

• Each child brought home a bound custom book.
