• And so the concept is to make a very nutritious cheap candy that will entice all Filipinos in all age groups – the young and the old.

• The malunggay candy would be sold at a very low price and would be available to sari-sari stores to be easily accessible.

• Another variant will also be made sugarless for those who have medical conditions like diabetes.

• The presentation (looks) and packaging of the product will be as delightful as possible to avoid the impression that it is a supplement or a medicine.

How to make Malunggay Candy

• Malunggay Candy Materials• Basically all you need to make

malunggay candy is sugar and hot water and malunggay leaves.

• sugar (sucrose)• 1 cup water• clean glass jar• malunggay leaves• Food processor• Pan

How to make Malunggay Candy

Pour the sugar and water into the pan

Heat the mixture to a boil, stirring

constantly

Stir the solution until all the sugar has dissolved

Add the ground malunggay

leaves to the solution

Watch for the temperature of your candy syrup to reach between 300 and 310 degrees. This is

the hard-crack stage of candy-making. At this point your

sugar solution is 99 percent pure. When your mixture is at the hard-crack stage remove it

from the heat.
