Malcolm X Malcolm X said that,"If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything." Malcolm X was born in 1925 when segregation was still in eect. Malcolm X's childhood was surrounded by eight brothers and sisters. He attended West Junior High School, where he was the only black student attending the school. His father, Earl Little, was found dead on a streetcar track. He had a troubled childhood. Malcolm X was convicted, which means accused, of burglary in Boston in the year 1946 and was sent to prison. He was widely read of Black Muslims and became a Muslim Minister upon his release in 1952. He became minister of Islamic Temple Number 7 in Boston and Number 11 in Harlem from the honorable Elijah Muhammed, who was the Black Muslim Leader at the time. Malcolm X had a theory that there could be a brotherhood between blacks and whites after reading the Holy Quran, the book of Islam. He tried to end segregation by preparing speeches with his knowledge of Islam that mightomade the segregation law abolished. But he never knew because during the year it was abolished, he had a speech which he was assassinated during his power lines.
