BASIC THEORY

A thermometer is a device used to measure the temperature (temperature), or a change in temperature. The term comes from the Latin thermometer thermo means heat and meter

means to measure. The working principle thermometer is diverse, the most commonly

used is the mercury thermometer.

o to test the thermometer, insert the thermometer into the bowl of hot water has been filled or partially swollen thermometer with a towel that has been soaked in hot water

NOTE

o simple thermometer shortage :1. Response is slow (it takes time to raise the

volume of fluid).2. The accuracy is relatively less, because the

minimum scale display usually only 2 Celsius.3. difficult to use for large-scale systems, such as to

process at the factory.
