Its ascinating to fnd out the reason behind acompany name. Oten they are named ater a personor a placeand suddenly a story is revealed. Wed liketo share the story behind the name LydiaStyle.Lydia was a prosperous businesswoman of the city of Thyatira

who became a convert to Christianity after hearing the apostlePaul speak (Acts 16:12-15, 40). This city was known for its purple...its

beautifully dyed cloth. Lydia sold dyes and dyed goods and is a great example for

Christians in the business world today. A devout Christian and a conscientious

businesswoman, she used her work to help further Gods purpose.

LydiaStyle exists to empower and encourage women. It is my desire to provide thesame opportunities I had when I got into direct sales many years ago. After quitting

a full time teaching job when my rst baby was born, I desired to work from home to

provide a stream of income for my family, yet be available to raise my kids. I was also

looking for something that would be challenging and help me to continue developing

my love of learning. Little did I know, when I became a consultant for a direct sales

company, it would open up a world I never knew existed a world where a person

is rewarded nancially for the effort that is put into home party sales, recruiting, and

leader development; a world in which the exibility of a home-based business allowed

me to homeschool my four children; and a world that provided countless awards, bo-nuses, learning opportunities, and incentive trips for my husband and me to enjoy. Af-

ter many years as a top producer, I decided to start Dynamic Performance Institute, a

company that trained direct sales companies. After many years of coaching and train-

ing consultants to reach their potential, I chose to take the next step and launch my
