Scholastic Book OrdersYou still have time to turn in book orders. We have been experiencing a glitch regarding on-line orders. Working with the tech department, they said to follow these steps:1. Go to https://www.scholastic.com2. Choose the link on top right corner “Sign in -or-

Register. 3. In the next window, choose Parents and

Families. Choose register.4. A window will come up. Enter your child’s

name, your name, email, and create a password.5. Another window will ask you if you have the

classroom activation code. Enter GVFVY and it will ask if Ruth Eller is your child’s teacher. Say yes.

6. That should do it! Once you are registered, for the rest of the year, you just need to sign in using your email and password.

I am SO sorry that this process is a little annoying. This has never happened before. You can, of course, choose to send in a paper order with a check made out to Scholastic or cash. Thanks for your patience!

Teacher-Parent Conferences are scheduled starting NEXT WEEK.The MESH folder did not go homelast Thursday so it is going home today. In the MESH will be the conference appointments.Please send in your confirmation ASAP. If any changes need to be made I need to know quickly.The MESH also has theParent Input Form. Our WikiLast week your assignment was torequest to join our wiki. This week we will go through the process of setting up our accounts. IMPORTANT: You will need to know your email and your email password. Also, did you already enter a password for your wiki account? If so, you will need to know that. YOU SHOULD ALWAYS WRITE DOWN YOUR PASSWORD, otherwise you’ll forget.

Word Power/Hunt!This will be our first week to do Word Power as individuals. You will choose a word from last week’s Word Hunt. You will fill out a vocabulary card. Then you will need to write 2 meaningful sentences Monday through Thursday. Remember, if you forget to turn in sentences on any day, you can fix this problem by sending me an email that evening. Make sure to write “Word Power” in the subject line. Don’t forget to keep Word Hunting. Today you showed me your Word Hunt. You received a grade for this. This week you need 30 words for a grade of 3. Remember to put your word post-its on your agenda throughout the week so you don’t forget your words at home.PARENTS: Your child should have shown you their Word Power grade from last week. Look on the back of the blue folder. Please sign next to the grade.
