pia of not more t han minus 1.5 including Astigmation. Candidateswho have undergone or have evidence for having undergone

Radial Karatotomy to improve the visual acuity will be perma-

nently rejected. Candidates who have undergone Lasik Surgeryfor Correction of reflective error are NOT acceptable.

(iii)To be passed fit, a candidate must be in good physical andmental health free from any d isability likely to interfere with the

efficient performance of duty.

4. METHOD OF SELECTION:(a) Shortlisting of Applications and SSB Interviews: Initial

checking "of applications will be done at Additional DirectorateGeneral Recruiting, Army Hqs. Only eligible candidates will be

called for and assessed under aeg is of Selection Centres, namely

Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP) and Bangalore (Karnataka) by Psy-chologist, Gro up Testing Officer and I nterviewing Officer. Candi-

dates will not be interviewed locally. Allotment of Selection Cen-tre is at the discretio n of Army Headquarters and no requests of

changes are entertained in this regard.

(b) Two Stage Selection Procedure: Two stage selectionprocedure based on Psychological Aptitude Test is field at Selec-

tion Centres. Al l the candidates will face stage one test on first

day of reporting at Selection Centres. The candidates whoqualify in stage one will be admitted to the second stage/re-

mail ID. It should be kept active during the currency of this recruitment project. Bank may send call

letters for written test, interview etc. through the registered e-mail ID. Under no circumstances,

in BLOCK LETTERS. Go to the nearest Bank of Baroda Branch with the Fee payment Challan and

Original counterfoil of the f ee payment challan will have to be submitted with the Call Letter a t the

time of written test. Without counterfoil of the fee payment challan the candidate will not be

allowed to appear in the written test. Candidates are therefore advised to keep -3- PHOTOCOPIES

5. GENERAL INFORMATION

NATIONALITY/ CITIZENSHIP:

A candidate must be either i) a Citizen of India or ii) a subject of Nepal or iii) subject of Bhutan

or iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of

permanently settling in India or v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan,

Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania

(formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, E thiopia and Vietnam w ith the inten-

RESERVATION A ND RELA XATION: The pr escribed qualifications, experience and the age limit shall be reckoned as on 01.01.20 11. The maximum

4. AGE LIMIT INCLUDING RELAXATION PROVISION4.1 For all the above vacancies, the age limit will be 18 to 33 years and will be reckoned as on

01/01/2011. 4.2 The upper age limit will be relaxed as under subject to the production of requisitecertificates.

4.2 (i) For SC/STand OBC candidates OBC upto 36 years, SC/ST upto 38 years.

4.2 (ii) Staff of Quasi Administrative Offices Relaxation of age will be to the extentof Railway Organizations Such as Railway of 5 years or service rendered by them

Canteens, Railway Institutes, and Railway in such organizations, whichever is less.Co-operatives.

Up to 48 years4.3 No age relaxation is allowed to SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against unreserved posts.

4.4 Proof of age (a) Birth certificate issued by appropriate authority or (b) Matric certificate

issued by Board.

5. EXAMINATION FEES :5.1 The examination fee for unreserved and OBC candidates is Rs. 40(Rs-. Forty only). Candidates belonging to SC/ST, Physically Handicapped, women, minorities andeconomically backward classes are fully exempted from payment of examination fees.

5.2 The examination fees shall be paid in the form of account payee demand draft drawn from

any Nationalized Bank in favour of FA&CAO, N.F. Railway and payable a t Maligaon, SBI branch.OR Indian Postal Order from any Post office drawn in favour of FA&CAO, N.F. Railway andpayable at GPO, Guwahati5.3 Applications received with cash/cheque /Central RecruitmentStamps and money orders will be rejected and amount forfeited. 5.4 Postal Orders/ Bank Drafts

issued before the date of issue of Employment Notice will not be accepted and such application

form will be rejected and amount forfeited.5.5 The candidates are advised to write their namesand addresses on the backside of the bank draft/lPO and enclose it with the application form. The

details of examination fee may be written in application form. Examination fee is not refundable inany circumstances.5.6, Minorities will mean Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists and Zo rastrians

(Parsis)5.7 Economically backward classes will mean the candidates whose family income is

less than Rs 50,000 per annum. The following authorities are authorized to issue certificates forthe purpose of identifying economically backward classes (i) District Magistrate or any-other

Revenue officer upto the level of Tehsildar. (ii) Sitting Member of Parliament of Lok Sabha forpersons of their own constituency, (iii) Sitting Member of Parliament of & Rajya Sabha for persons

of the district in which these MPs normally reside, (iv) BPL card or any other certificate issued by

Central Government under a r ecognized poverty alleviation programme or Izzat MST issued byRailways.5.8 The income certificate issued by the authorities mentioned at para 5.7 abovewould have to be on format at Annexure IV which is enclosed herewith. This would have to be

issued on the letter head of the issuing authority.

6. HOW TO APPLY:6.1 Candidates should carefully read the instructions in this EmploymentNotice for filling up the Application Form in the f ormat enclosed at Annexure I on a good quality

white paper of A4 size using ONE SIDE only. The candidates have to fill up r equired information

with Black Pen/Ball Black Point Pen in his/her own handwr iting.6.2 The application should bewritten in either English or Hindi and not in any other language. The application has to be duly

.dated and signed by the ca ndidate. Application filled in any language otherthan English/ Hindi andby any person other than the applicant wilI be rejected summrily even if, it is detected at a

subsequent stage of the recruitment. 6.3 Candidate who have been debarred from appearing inany of Railway Recruitment Board . Exams need not apply unless their debarment period expires

by the closing date.

6.13 In column No.12 the Physically handicapped candidates should indicate by ticking in theappropriate box for their type of disability. In column 13A, PH candidate will write the percentage

of disability as per, the disability certificate. Other candidates should leave co lumn no. 12.12A and

13 blank.6.14 In column No. 13 the Visually handicapped candidates / those candidates whosewriting speed is affected by cerebral palsy who are allowed to avail the assistance of scribe for

writing answers on their behalf should indicate by ticking in the appropriate box whether theyrequire assistance of a scribe (Helper) in the written examination for writing their answers. The

facility of scribe is admissible to only those VH candidates who r eally require the a ssistance. All

one eyed candidates and VH candidates whose visual degree of disability is less than 40% shallnot be considered as visually handicapped persons and the provision for engaging Scribe shall
