Sponsoring new members is so impor-tant to our Lodge , Chapter, and Moose Legion. it has been shown to increase in-volvement in, and financial health of our fraternal organization. When you sponsor a new member, your showing your sup-port of all the good things that are done through the Moose organization. We take care of kids, support our seniors and pro-vide volunteers and financial support in our local communities. Some sponsors rise above the rest. Ex-ceeding over twenty five member spon-sorships. These individuals are held in high esteem throughout our fraternity. The Moose 25 Club program was estab-lished to provide an incentive for mem-bers to sponsor their family and friends into the fraternity. Sponsor incentives are given for annual and short-term cam-paigns, but the Moose 25 Club is over your lifetime of being a Moose. Once you sponsor your 25th member into the Fra-ternity, regardless of how long it is be-tween the first time you sponsor a mem-ber to your 25th, you automatically ad-vance to the Moose 25 Club. Each new Moose 25 Club member is assigned a roll number, which is unique to them. This roll number is added to the certificate and pocket card provided to the new Moose 25 Club member. Historically, each new Moose 25 Club member has received a lapel pin depicting the Moose 25 Club logo.

Advancement within the Moose 25 Club program is in increments of 25 up to

the 200 level. The increments are then every 50. Congratulatory letters are pro-vided to the sponsor at each level. Extra incentive awards are given out at various levels. Through 2014-2015, life member-ship has been given at the 250 level; a jewelry box has been given at the 750 level; and a Moose 25 Club watch was awarded at the 1,000 level. Beginning with the 500 level, a Moose 25 Club ring has been offered and at each 100 incre-ment, a diamond was added. As with other programs, however, changes to awards and award levels can vary de-pending upon the current programs of-fered at Moose International.

At the International Moose Convention, members of the Moose 25 Club are in-vited to a special event. In order to re-ceive an invitation, a member of the Moose 25 Club must sponsor 5 members during the current annual campaign (May-April). We just finished the Valentines din-ner and I want to thank everyone that came and supported the dinner. We serve 51 dinners, we listen to the music of Steve Cole the members danced and enjoyed the evening. It is good to see that Saturday nights are becoming so popular that the Lodge is doing as well on Saturdays now as Friday’s. So again I want to say thank you, to all of you that come out, have fun and support Palm Bay Moose Lodge.

It is the time of year that we start looking for officers to run our Lodge, in the coming year, the sheets are up on the bulletin board in the Social Quarter’s. You know it’s important to keep our Lodge moving forward and we need hard-working members to do this. So take down one of the sheets put your name on it, and the office that you would like to run for and turn it into the administrator’s

office. If you have any questions at what your duties might be just ask your administrator and he will be glad to give you a list of the duties for each office. If you have been a member for at least six months, you can run for any office, other than the Governor’s, the requirement for his office is he must have been on the board of officers, at least one year. I often hear how Palm Bay Moose Lodge is the friendliest and happiest Lodge around. I just want to say that you make it that way, everyone com-ing in keeping the right attitude, en-joying the fellowship of other mem-bers. Please keep this in mind and think about running for an office, yes it requires time, at least two meet-ings a month. Help keep us the friendliest Lodge around.

Fraternally Lee Singleton,

Administrator

As Spring quickly approaches, al-though not so evident by the tem-peratures outside, we need to start thinking about the 2015 elections. Yes, it is that time of the year again. If you are interested in be-coming an Officer of the Moose Lodge, please find the sign-up sheet posted in the lodge and add your name. We need members who are willing to step up to new challenges and more importantly, give of their time, to keep our lodge strong and our membership growing.

As we enter the Spring, I would like to thank those who worked so hard throughout the Winter months to keep us going. We have some wonderful volunteers who have given of their time over and over again making our Friday and Saturday nights, as well as Sun-

days, so successful. To those vol-unteers, I thank you, and would like to extend my appreciation to Rich and Teresa Gladchuk, Dave Sowards and his crew, The Palm Bay Moose Riders, and Don and Marlene Jones. You have all been a breath of fresh air and your dedi-cation has not gone unnoticed.

Lastly, thanks Lee, Bobby, as well as their staff of volunteers, who pulled off a fabulous Valentine's Dinner as I know it was enjoyed by all.

I thank you all again for support-ing me through the last few months and I look forward to what lies ahead for our little lodge. To each of you, thanks for continuing to make this the "Friendliest Lodge in Town".

Fraternally, Matt King, Governor

MEMBERSHIP***MEMBERSHIP***MEMBERSHIP

At the last meeting we had nine new members join. This is the best mouth so far in membership. I want to say thank you to all the sponsors that have brought in the new members. Moose international tells us that we are still down 17 mem-bers, it means that between now and April 30 we need to sign at least 17 new mem-bers. But the problem is we can’t lose any more members. When you come in the Lodge take a look at the Lodge bulletin board and see if you recognize the names on there of an expired member that we might be able to have him pay his dues and become current. At the beginning of February 2015 we had 16 expired mem-bers. 12 of these members had only been in for one year. What are we doing wrong, why did we lose these members and what can we do to get them back? I said in my article for this newsletter that we all know that this is the friendliest and most fun Lodge around. So why are we having prob-lems keeping members? Please let me know.

We send a letter out each month to the expired members, this month already 3

expired members have pay their dues. The three members that have paid their dues have been members for more than 3 to 5 years and one even eight years. Help me to get some of these expired members back in.

I don’t know if you’re aware that we do have a program sponsored by The Palm Bay Moose Lodge. If you sponsor three new members, the Lodge will pay your membership dues for the next year. Yes this is not quite the same as Moose inter-national did with two new members but it is something, take advantage of this. In the Lodge room on the wall by the dart-board there is a sponsorship sheet. On it the names of the people who have spon-sored new members are listed. If you will look you can see how many you have sponsored I have colored them in to show you the ones that have to get one more and get free dues. Help your Lodge grow so that we may get our premier award this year.

Thank you for all you do.

PALM BAY MOOSE HEART OF THE COMMUNITY EVENTS

THE 2015 POLAR PLUNGE @ SEA WORLDS AQUATICA WAS AWESOME!

OUR LRGEST HERD YET & OUR LARGEST FUNDRAISING AMOUNT YET

Let there be no doubt, everyone at the polar plunge knew the Moose were in the house… The Palm Bay Moose was well represented by nine-teen Plungers. Raising over $2754 for Special Olympics of Florida. We were part of the much larger group of Fifty moose from all over the Florida penin-sula , an amazing amount topping $10,003 for the first time.

This was the fourth year for the Palm Bay Moose to participate in this wonderful fundraiser and family activ-ity. Everyone can get involved. Our support group included kids form the

age of two to the seniors that came along to cheer us on. Or, I think they came just to make sure we jumped in the cold water. The winners are al-ways s the athletes and the coaches involved in Special Olympics programs all over the state. For each partici-pant, they have to raise or donate $100. As shown in our amount raised we always exceed that. Thanks to all of our friends and co-workers, our Moose family and our relatives. This event has grown to be something ex-citing and special for us. Planning is already underway for next year, if you

would like more information on the P o l a r P l u n g e c h e c k o u t www.plungefl.org, and for more in-formation on Special Olympics of Flor-ida, go to their website at www.specialolympicsflorida.org

SPACE COAST KIBBLE KITCHEN

FOOD AND FUNDRAISER

For the second year, The Palm Bay Moose, and Chapter are collect-ing pet food donations to assist the Space Coast Kibble Kitchen. These items are being collected in the Social Quarters and will be given to support the efforts to maintain pets in the homes of Seniors who may otherwise have to let their pets go into shelters or other facilities. Everyone knows the positive effects a pet can have on a persons health, morale and overall demeanor. Help us help those who are helping others. Next time you are coming to the lodge bring a can of food, or a bag. every little bit helps and along with this pro-gram Sharon and Kathy are selling dog bones and houses and all the funds raised will be donated to Kibble Kitchen. This program will be continuing into March so come on in and show your support.

Wow! Time is flying by so quickly, March is here already! Mary Beth’s dinner in January was lovely! Mary Beth you really do know your way around a kitchen!! Sharon’s wonderful February “Going to the Dogs” event helped so many families feed their pets. The commitment that our mem-bers have for the community we live in is exceptional!

The time has come for the Women of the Moose co-workers to think about who they want to be on their Board of Officers for the coming year. If you are interested in being on the Board, submit your name to the WOTM nominating committee. You will find the submission slips on the WOTM bulletin board and on the no-tice board in the Ladies restroom.

On March 5th at 5:30 p.m. we will be having a special ceremony to honor Mary Beth’s getting her Green Cap. Please come and congratulate her on this meaningful occasion. Then on March 21st, Christine Duncan and Teresa Gladchuck will be hosting a “Mardi Gras” event starting at 5:00 p.m., Showtime will be performing.

On April 18th we will be having a din-

ner of “Campfire Chicken” come enjoy the great music and food!

Remember, sponsor 3 new members between January 1st to March 31st and the WOTM will pay your next year’s dues!

Don’t forget to come out for Bingo with Donna every Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Marie will be serving her Bingo Food on the first and third Tuesday. Also, join Helen for the WOTM Steak shoot on April 18th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

I look forward to my next year as your Jr. Graduate Regent and assisting the incoming Senior Regent and board of officers in fulfilling all of their en-deavors. My year as your Senior Re-gent has been amazing and a great learning experience that I wouldn’t trade for anything! Thank You to all of you who have supported the WOTM during this past year, whether it was by coming to our events, buying raffle tickets or your various donations, Thank You! A special thank you to all my co-workers for making this year a great success. We could not have done it without your support. Fraternally, Marlene Jones, Senior Regent
