BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY ENDORSEMENTThe business and industry endorsement involves areas of study that are vital to the economic success of global business communities. Learning about and understanding how a business or industry operates requires a deep understanding of finance, business management, strategic planning, marketing and human relations. Earning a business and industry endorsement prepares the student with the skills and background necessary to compete in any business career.
PUBLIC SERVICES ENDORSEMENTPublic service careers are devoted to providing vital daily services to the public in cities, states and nations around the world. Careers in the public sector involve tackling challenging problems and expanding services to meet the needs of others. People employed in public service contribute directly to the common good.
ARTS AND HUMANITIES ENDORSEMENTThe arts represent an outlet of human expression, usually influenced by culture. Students interested in the performing arts of music and theater, as well as the visual arts, will be interested in this endorsement. The humanities offers students an opportunity to study ancient and modern literature, history, language, and culture.
S.T.E.M. ENDORSEMENTS.T.E.M. education strives to bridge science, technology, engineering, and mathematics into an interdisciplinary and applied approach to learning. A S.T.E.M.-literate student is a critical thinker who is able to make meaningful connections between school, community, work, and global issues.
There is a great demand for workers in the S.T.E.M. fields. Evidence suggests that the fastest-growing and highest-wage jobs in future years will be in the S.T.E.M. fields. It is projected that 8.65 million workers will be needed in S.T.E.M.-related fields by 2018.
