Local food vendors suchas Randy Peters Catering,Hacienda, Valencia Club,Scoops Italian Ice, KettleCorn County and AuntBetty Corn Dogs will beserving Eggplant dishesthat will include eggplanttacos, eggplant parmesan,eggplant kabobs, eggplanthamburgers and fries,grilled eggplant, and fried

eggplant.Along with our featured

eggplant dishes, you canstill expect all of your tra-ditional festival food, too.

The Wine Garden willfeature wines from thePlacer County Wine &Grape Association, wheresamples, glasses of wine,and bottles can be pur-chased. Dont forget theBeer Garden whereSoroptimist Internationalof Loomis Basin will be

pouring brews fromLoomis Basin BrewingCo., Shock Top, and more.

Live music and enter-tainment will be featuredon three stages that willinclude Auto Replay, Trav-eling Shows, The ElementBrass Band, McLaughlinStudios, Joe Berry Quartetand many others.

A Discover Scuba Div-ing experience is beingoffered at the EggplantFestival this year.

For young adventurers,the PADI Bubblemakerprogram is an introduc-tion to the thrill of breath-ing underwater. Eight- to10-year-olds can have achance to take the plunge

with a PADI Instructorand go pool diving.

During the Discover

Scuba Diving experiencechildren will learn how touse scuba equipment inshallow water and get a

quick and easy introduc-tion to what it takes toexplore the underwater

world. All the equipment

needed is typicallyincluded in a DiscoverScuba Diving experience.Participants use all thebasic scuba gear

including a mask, snorkeland fins, a buoyancycompensating jacket thatalso carries the scuba

tank, a scuba regulator tobreathe from and instru-mentation to monitordepth and air supply.

The cost is only $10 andkids will be treated to aspecial Bubblemakerclass. Sign up sessions

will be available the dayof the festival.
