Attendance: Lee Sherman, Chair Carl Cadogan Margaret Howe Kash Husain Joyce Mitchell

Regrets: Wendy Pol Guest: Nora Spinks

Wednesday, September 28,2005 has been established as the date of the Open House.

Carl had spoken to Joyce Burpee about using the cafeteria at City Hall and he will speak to the Chef about the use of the facility.

The cafeteria usually closes at approximately 300 p.m. The Plan is to use the cafeteria between 4:OOpm and 700pm for the Open House.

Community and Protective Services Committee (CAPS) have given their approval of the Open House.

Margaret Howe suggested that we have a "Theme" for the Open House relating to the 150th Anniversary of the City.

Suggestions around a theme were: -

    - Leveraging London's Diversity Creating a better relationship between the City and People in the City

    o 150ways o 150things o 150groups o 150 signatures o 150 dimensions of diversity

Recommendation: take the idea of a "Theme" for the Open House to the main LDRRAC meeting for their input and discussion.

We need all members of LDRRAC to work toward the Open House on such things as invitations, a set-up committee on September 28&, coordinate sponsors/funders/food.

    1

  • _- Food would be supplied by the approved caterers that are used at City Hall. Selection of what the food would be is the Committee’s responsibility.

Carl will talk to Stephanie Keeping, Director, Corporate Communications at City Hall, regarding the invitations.

Wendy Pol has offered to create the lists for the invitations. All members are asked to e- mail their lists of names to Wendy. Wendy’s e-mail address is: [email protected]
