In the UK, former Prime Minister Theresa May’s recent commitment to net zero carbon emissions by 2050 should enliven a new movement in housing delivery, enabling a greener and more sustainable approach to tackling the acute need for housing in the capital. It is therefore timely to bring London together with Stockholm, a city known for its world class housing and leading green agenda, to look at marrying huge pressure on housing delivery with a more green and sustainable future. This international dialogue event will allow these two cities to discuss housing, looking at new delivery mechanisms, affordability and how both are ensuring the future of housing delivery is sustainable from an economic, social, and environmental perspective. A live video seminar, taking place simultaneously in both cities, brings together speakers and audiences to foster cross-city dialogue. This event is a key part of the NLA International programme which brings together cities for discussion and debate about shared urban issues.
