Logging into your Continuing Education online course: ON YOUR COURSE START DATE after 9 am Pacific Time (not before):
A. Open Internet Explorer (or other browser).
B. Enter http://ce.viuonline.ca as URL. You will see the following screen:
C. Click in the upper right-hand corner on Login:

D. Enter your VIU student # (no spaces) in the Username area.
Enter your Date of Birth (yyyymmdd format) in the Password area. Click on the Login button. (For example, if your VIU student # is 537-223-388, and your date of birth is April 20, 1979, you would enter 537223388 in the Username area and 19790420 in the Password area.)

If you don’t know your VIU student # If you do not know your VIU student #, and you have a current email address on file with VIU, you can go to this link to have your VIU student # emailed to the email address on file with VIU. Your VIU student number is also available from the Registration Statement that you receive from VIU when you register for a course:
If you still can’t access your student number, just phone 1-877-888-8890 toll-free during office hours (Mon – Thurs 8:30 am – 8 pm or Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm) and we will look up your student number for you. If you already have a login: If you have taken a Moodle course on http://ce.viuonline.ca in the recent past and you already have a Moodle login (consisting of your student number as the username) and a password, you should be able to continue to use that login on the ce.viuonline.ca site when you register for more Continuing Education online courses.

E. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll see the following screen. Click on your course category to find your course:

If you can’t find your course: If you have any problem finding your online course, use the Course Finder link:
When searching for your course, enter your course name in the Search courses area:

Your course should be displayed. Click on the course name link to enter your online classroom:
Congratulations! Now you’re in your online course.

Course Availability: The online classroom and your personal Username and Password WILL NOT BE
AVAILABLE PRIOR TO 9 am Pacific Time on THE COURSE START DATE, but you will be expected to log into the class within the first day or two of its opening.
Privacy & Security: Note that for privacy and security purposes you should change your password when you are in your online course through Settings->My Profile Settings->Change Password.
