No plastic surgery, but I probably would have a liposuction on my thighs hahaha because I have a pear shape body, so no matter how skinny I get, I’d still have huge things :p

I’m studying Economics at the University of Washington in Seat-tle. I really like it because I find studying interrelations between societies is fascinating.

I’ve tried the blood type diet, it’s really effective without any side effects. It’s actually good for the heart.

What’s story behind the name, ONLYi?

“Only i…”, is a self expression words when RR Cindy Biantoro Sharif or known as Diamond-Hurts found herself drawn into her own style. It sound selfish but yet Cindy believe that ‘self-ish’ is one of the flavor she needed most.

Starts from a jar of magical ingredients from a girl who found happiness on herself, Only i now at least spreads the spell on to a whole school full of girls wearing madness uniform. And the spell goes…, “Only i will own this beautiful piece of dress…”.

Only i ignore what’s ‘in’, rarely think what’s ‘out’ and mostly think ‘what only I want’. Only I designs is to give a heavenly unique yet wearable clothe selection for especially Indonesian girls. There are no reasons to be the same, and…, Only I will never be the same…(*copy from ONLYi press release).

We love the look book of ‘Talking Fiction Early’ - can tell us about the inspiration behind it?

Thanks so much :) Talking Fiction is my favorite!!The name of “Talking Fiction” is actually 1 of song title of my band. We created a story board long time ago before Talking Fiction has been released. We had no change yet to visualize the board into music video. So, ONLYi is a match media for me to make it happen. It’s just a simple story about “OI GIRLS” (the girls of ONLYi) from other space. They visited Earth to give the earth people new flavors of fashion...

How is it different from your previous releases?

ONLYi’s previous releases are all different. I explore the style together with my fabrics hunting. Talking Fiction looks differ-ent because I am using 100% fine cotton, for almost 70% of the collections. Talking Fiction released more than 30 designs. And mostly I only produced not more than 20 designs of each releases. A collection before “Talking Fiction” is called “Flower is Oi”, most of the collection are using prints velvet fabrics, but I wrapped it up into a lookbook that’s still one path as ‘Talking Fiction” and represent ONLYi’s roots.

What’s the similarity then?

The similarity is the flavor of ONLYi, how it released to public through the lookbook concept, I believe ONLYi always have a special things for special girls...

Do you have a store premises, or is it purely on-line?

Our own store not yet .We only available on-line and also available at concept stores in Jakarta, Bandung, Jogja, Semarang, Surabaya, Singa-pore, and Australia

Ever tempted to keep the clothes instead of sell them on? Which collection it is?

Yessss.... ONLYi first collection. 50% of the col-lections are with ‘renewal vintage’ concept, so every piece is one of a kind. Renewal vintage is, I collected vintage pre-loved stuff from flea mar-kets all around Jakarta & Bandung. I only looked for a treasury fabric prints. Whatever it is skirts, pants, dresses, tops, I buy every single goodies based on its fabric prints. I asked my tailor com-bine all the goodies fabric combination, into 1 new beautiful dress. “A piece of dress that is only i can have it...”, and that’s how ONLYi was born.

What are your daily references?

Google while listening to my playlist, it took me everywhere...

If an international renown celebrity gets to wear your design, who do you picture it’d be?

Maybe Karen O from Yeah Yeah Yeahs? ONLYi will be shining like a rainbow unicorn if it’s worn by her.

Where are the farest customers that you ever have?

Switzerland.

Is there any particular fabric that you use for Talking Fiction Early collection?

20 designs are using 100 % fine cotton with fringe, beads and embroidered details, and the rest 10 designs are us-ing dobby fabric and glittery tulle with triangle pocket details.

Why is it?

That time I want to create clothes for play dates, I need something comfortable yet unique.

Tell me what’s next for ONLYi!

I’m creating something to be worn at the sugar land Ely-sium..., oh I can’t wait!! What’s the most expensive item at ONLYi? How come?

I think most of the items of ONLYi are super affordable. One of the most expensive item until now is a dress called ‘Inga Dress’ from “Caused by Mother Earth” col-lection. It’s a little bit expensive because of the fabrics combinations, all are using premium stretch prints fab-rics, giant stripes and animal prints. I also added a prints faux leather circle patch and or sequins patch on the front side.

What went through your mind when you came up with the name,“Ruph”?

Ruph just pop up on my mind when I started this clothing line

Does Ruph have a certain concept in terms of design or the brand itself? What is it?

Unique is the concept of Ruph

I heard that Inconnu been established after Ruph, what’s the different between Inconnu and Ruph?

Actually Inconnu is one of our consignees, so there’s a different concept between Inconnu and Ruph itself. Inconnu has basic style concept while Ruph has more unique concept.

We have a mini store at Pondok Indah and we provide custom order

If Ruph were a movie, what would it be and why?

Pleasantville, because the concept of changing perspective on this movie is explored through the colors which being used. Use of black and white and colors in order to empha-sis the character’s changing, I just want Ruph concept as the movie itself, coming from black and white and become more colorful because Ruph will improve from one collec-tion to the next one and got charac-ter in each collection.

What’s in the future for Ruph?

We’re hoping to have a flagship store as soon as possible

What’s so special about your latest collection, Birds of Paradise?

We have special embroidery that we put in each clothes
