TRANSCRIPT
Live better. Two simple words, but when put together say so much more. It becomes a statement, a commitment and mission behind everything Minto Communities does.
from location to lifestyle,a master-planned community
Minto Communities is committing to building better places to live. It stems from knowing what
makes a house a home and a location a lifestyle. It begins with an approach of doing what’s right
– from finding the right location, preserving nature, considering the right design, and committing
to sustainable practices. Everything comes together to simply make living better. It is this and
many other principles that Minto Communities puts first when developing visionary master-planned
communities. It goes beyond just buildings, it’s about building better places to live, work and play.
After launching Phase I in 2015, this nature-inspired master-planned community was carefully designed
to give residents a beautiful place to call home. The first phase of the community introduced modern
townhomes that were nestled within a lush green space that would connect to the future development
of hiking and cycling trails and a community pond. Following the complete sell-out success of Phase I,
Oakvillage released a limited collection of Rear Lane Townhomes that instantly sold out. Building on this
phenomenal success, Minto Communities is thrilled to be expanding our vision with the development of
lifestyle condominiums and townhomes.
REAR LANE TOWNHOMES - LAUNCHED 2017
STACKED TOWNHOMES
Blending the best of nature and modern architecture, the community of Stacked Townhomes represents
an intimate collection for beautiful living. Expansive layouts offer abundant space to live in, highlighting
thoughtfully designed kitchens, magnificent 2-bedroom suites and the highest quality and style in features

CONDOS
Inside, you will embrace thoughtful design that welcomes you home to distinct style in a lobby
featuring a comfortable lounge, a fireplace and a stunning view of the beautifully landscaped
outdoor amenity space. Private amenities include a fitness centre equipped with the latest equipment
and a stylish open-concept Social Lounge, perfect for hosting private functions, or simply relaxing
with friends.
The condos at Oakvillage offer a complementary lifestyle that connects nature to community
with a visionary new concept inspired by the Dutch design principle of a “woonerf”. Streetscapes
are designed to minimize the impact of traffic and maximize pedestrians’ enjoyment of nature.
The community is linked with lushly landscaped, paved pathways that include “outdoor rooms”,
complete with Muskoka chairs, tiered play and lounge structures, and bicycle paths leading to
the natural heritage trails.
GYM
Set against a beautiful backdrop of tranquil greenspaces, Oakvillage is conveniently located at Dundas
and Trafalgar Road. The community invites residents to explore an abundance of breathtaking nature just
outside their door. Inspired by natural bounty, this community is a playground; adventure out to the scenic
woodlot, look for butterflies and birds around the pond. Go for a jog or just lose yourself in the Zen of
over 1.5 km of nature trails that weave through your community.

OAKVILLE OFFERS A CLOSE-KNIT COMMUNITY WHERE
THERE’S NEVER A LACK OF FUN TO BE HAD! HERE’S
OUR TOP 10 FUN-IN-THE-SUN EVENTS TO MAKE SUMMER
THE BEST SEASON TO LIVE IN OAKVILLE.
Heritage, culture and lots of character! In the heart of Oakville, a strong sense of history
and the contemporary come together to create a unique place to live.
true community values
celebrate the past
Incorporated as a town in 1853, the community’s historic roots actually stretch back decades earlier to
1827, when Oakville’s founding father, Colonel William Chisholm, purchased 940 acres of uncleared land
from the Crown at the mouth of Sixteen Mile Creek and then laid out the village’s original street grid,
which remains intact to this day. Along the quaint streets of Old Oakville are vintage 19th century homes
built of brick or wood. Among the oldest is the woodframed Thomas House, constructed in 1829,
situated next to Oakville’s original 1835 post office in Dingle Park near the lake. But Old Town is replete
with period houses, many of them displaying the date of construction and the name and occupation of
its owner. Here are just a few historical gems: the James MacDonald House (1837), the Justus Williams
House (1838), the James Boon House (1878).
Arguably the crown jewel of residential Old Oakville is the Erchless Estate, the red brick Georgian
mansion of Oakville’s first mayor, Robert Kerr Chisholm. Situated next to Lakeside Park and with a
commanding view of Oakville Harbour, this stately mansion is now home to the Oakville Museum.
Attached to the Chisholm residence is the equally historic 1856 Custom House, which was a vital
cog in the family’s extensive business interests. Scattered across old town are numerous other
historic structures – churches, assembly halls, office blocks – reflecting the town’s importance in
pre-confederation Canada. Among them the Canada Presbyterian Church (1850), the Scotch Kirk
(1850-55), and St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church (1840), which enjoys the distinction of being the
only church remaining in Oakville still in its original form.
Walk on the path of those who walked before us. Step back in time and explore the historic buildings
and gardens on the four-acre Erchless Estate, once home to Oakville’s founding family. Participate in
tours of the Chisholm family home, special events and exhibitions showcasing the stories of our town.
For a different type of historical experience, enjoy almost 60 kilometres of Oakville Heritage Trails
that link the town’s natural and architectural heritage. The Trails are accessible to walkers, joggers
and cyclists and feature information stations, telling more than eighty stories about Oakville territory
and its people.
