It was held on the 29th of March. 40 Leos from SMK Jalan Arang together with Club faculty

advisor, Madam Dora Teo and Lion President of Lions Club of Kuching Ixora, Lion Patrick Goh

were involved in the activity which was carried out at Pasir Pandak, Santubong, Kuching. The

cleaning up had taken about 3 hours. Through this project we hope to improve the environ-

ment Kampung Pasir Pandak. The project was a success as leos were putting in efforts.

Beach Clean-Up Project

Visit to Pitcher Plant GardenThe visit was held on the 11th of April 2009 at Pitcher Plant Garden,

10th Mile Jalan Penrissen. 2 faculty advisors of the club and 37 Leos

joined this project. Through this visit, leos get to know various types of

pitcher plant and wild orchids. The officers there led us throughout the

visit. Besides, we also volunteered to do some work after visiting.

Sports day sales was carried out again

in this fiscal year for 2 days ( 19-20March 2009) at Padang Jublee. This

year, the organizing committee had suc-

cessfully raised RM 348.50 from this

fund-raising project by selling drinks.

It was a school-based tele-

match which was held on

the 19th March 2009, in

the school. The club in-volved were Kelab SPBT

(Skim Pinjaman Buku

Teks), History Club and

Dharma Club.

Leos performed a drama

under Lions Club of Kuching

Ixora during the Region 1

Oscar Night which was held

on the 20th September2008 at Sarawak Tourism

Complex. It was a comedy

drama about a birthday party

which involved Rojak lan-

guage.

Bon Appetite! is a fund-

raising project by selling

food in the school. This

year, we had 2 sessions ofBon Appetite! Session I

was held 3 times (3 Fri-

days) in the month of Sep-

tember 2008 during recess

time. Session II was carried

out during the school regis-

tration day on the 2nd Jan

2009. By combining the

two sessions, we raised

about RM 450.

The organizing committee has suc-

cessfully collected 266 story books

and almost every leos was involved in

the contribution of story books. On the

13 March 2009, we sent the books to

SJK Chung Hua Sungai Jernam.

Lions Nursing Home Food SaleOn the 9th November 2008, our club was involved in the Lions

Nursing Home Food Fair and we were selling sushi, Burgers, Lui

Cha and rambutans. We raised a few hundred for that morningand was donated to Lions Nursing Home.

Leos were preparing sushi at the stall.
