Learn the Viennese Waltz as Danced in Vienna

Join us… for this popular series of lessons

in Viennese Waltz taught by Herbert and Carol

Traxler. Honored by the Republic of Austria,

the Traxlers have taught the Viennese Waltz to

thousands of Washingtonians at such venues as

The White House, The Embassy of Austria,

Meridian House and The Smithsonian. No prior

dance experience required. Couples and

individuals are welcome; dancers will change

partners frequently throughout lessons.

Then celebrate the season . . . Friday, December 7 at a grand Viennese

Christmas Ball held under the patronage of His Excellency the Ambassador of Austria, Hans-Peter Manz

at the historic Washington Golf & Country Club and featuring a Champagne reception, Austrian desserts

buffet and selected wines. Music by Con Brio! - Washington’s celebrated salon orchestra, performing the

world’s favorite Strauss waltzes, polkas and ballroom music from around the world. Join in a grand

march to the famed Radetzky Grand March and dance the Fledermaus Quadrille No. 6 as done at

midnight at the balls in Vienna. Traditional Viennese Opening Ceremonies will be performed by

Midshipmen of the United States Naval Academy.
