School buses –

the safest way

to travel between

home and school

Travelling to school by bus is 55 times safer than riding a bicycle, 4.4 times safer than walking and 1.38 times safer than being driven in the family car – a study by the Institute of Transport and Logistical Studies, the University of Sydney.

TRAVELLING WITH KIDS?

Children under four and accompanied by a parent travel free (max of three). Passengers under 16 years pay a child fare. If necessary, proof of age is the responsibility of the child.

Fares and TicketsWhere possible please pay with the correct fare and be ready to pay when boarding. Fare scales are displayed inside the bus.Tickets are issued for all fares paid and are subject to inspection. Please retain tickets until the end of the trip to avoid being asked by an inspector to pay another fare.

ChildrenChi ldren under 4 years of age accompanied by a parent travel free (maximum of three). Passengers 16 years and over are required to pay an adult fare unless travelling to or from school or have a child half fare concession pass. Those travelling at half fare or on a school pass should not occupy a seat while adults are standing. Where age may be in doubt, proof of age is the responsibility of the child or a full fare will apply.

Regional Excursion Daily (RED)The RED ticket offers pensioner card holders unlimited travel all day for only $2.50 on Busways, Lawrence Bus Service and Ryans bus services.

School Free TravelStudents who are eligible for a free school bus pass should apply at their school. Mutilated or lost passes can be replaced at our depot – a fee will apply.

Service VariationLawrence Bus Service has taken all care in the preparation of this timetable but accepts no responsibility for errors or omissions, or for delays caused by traffic conditions or other reasons beyond our control.

Lawrence Bus Service reserves the right to introduce amendments to services after publication.

AssistancePassengers are asked to assist by making the seats in the front rows available for elderly people or people with disabilities.

LOOK OUT!Smart Riders & Drivers know they can't see through the bus and that other traffic can't see them. They wait for the bus to go before crossing the road.

Wait for them on the same side of the road as the bus stop.
