GOLD AWARDS

Congratulations for qualifying for your Gold Award. Well done!

Yesterday afternoon our staff came together to celebrate the career of Ms Ann Tipping. It was great to see Ann and hear about her career and life post Lavington Public School. She spoke about some of the highlights she has had over her journey, which always came back to the relationships she has built with her colleagues and the enjoyment she gained from seeing kids happy and learning. That’s what it’s all about! I would also like to formally announce a new addition to our staff. Mrs Adele Lowden will take up her role of Business Manager at Lavington Public School, 3 days a week beginning Term 2. I am excited to have Adele on board and look forward to working alongside her for the next 2 years. She brings a depth of experience and an impressive business skillset to the role which I am eager to apply to the daily operation of LPS.

KNOCKOUT CRICKET Our boy’s cricket team are in Deniliquin today for the State Knockout Cricket match. We look forward to hearing all about it from our team when they return. A big thanks to the parents who provided transport for our team.

ALBURY ZONE RUGBY LEAGUE TEAM

Congratulations to Eric Tui, Adrian Thapa, Isaiah Manuaifua, Riley Collins, Mitchell Clarke, Archer Carroll and Ryan Abbott who were selected in the Albury Zone PSSA Rugby League team. The boys will head off to Leeton for the Riverina Trials.

RIVERINA SOCCER TRIALS

On Tuesday, Ella Semple and Paige Gawen represented Albury Zone at the Riverina Trials.

The School Easter Service will take place in the Hall on Wednesday 10 April 2019 (week 11) at normal scripture time of 2.30pm.

The Scripture organisers have requested the whole school attend the service.

Please advise your class teacher if you do not want you child to attend this special Easter service.

Easter Raffle Donations Out of Uniform Day

Monday 8 April 2019 The P&C is holding an Easter Raffle at the K-2 Easter Hat

Parade on Thursday 11 April 2019.

Raffle ticket books need to be returned to the school office (sold or unsold) by Monday 8 April 2019.

On Monday 8 April 2019 all Students (K-6) are able to come to school in casual clothes and donate an Easter

Egg or Easter themed items to be used in the Easter Raffle.

out on Saturday 27 April starting at 8.30am, with morning tea and sausage

K-2 Easter Hat/Dress Up Parade

Thursday 11 April 2019

Families and friends of the K-2 children are invited to attend our fabulous annual Easter Hat Parade.

Hats need be decorated at home and brought in the morning of the Hat Parade for the students to wear.

Time: 10:00am Where: The Infants quad – the students will parade their masterpieces with their classmates. Theme: Easter hats. The children are also encouraged to dress up in Easter clothing or in bright colours.

After the parade, we will draw our Easter Egg raffles. If you have any questions, please

talk to your classroom teacher.
