The undyed, aesthetically simplified Clover products are perfectly suited for surroundings where nature takes central stage. The entirely wood coloured products blend in with the surrounding flora and become naturally grey over time. In respect to functioning, the Clover products are real classics. The playground equipment has all the traditional play functions: climbing, hanging, balancing, swinging and sliding.

Some Clover products are also classics in Lappset’s production. For instance, the series includes the Tunnel that has been manufactured since the 1970s. The manufacturer’s established experience and skill in taking the safety of playing children into account already during the design stages make the price-quality ratio of Clover products unique.

DelIverY AND INSTAllATIoNDeliveryLappset playground equipment is delivered as components andelements with:

- despatch notes- installation instructions- inspection and maintenance instructions.

Lappset design criteria ensure efficient packaging for ease oftransportation. The packages are placed on pallets to speedup the loading and handling, and significantly reduce transportdamage and costs.

Installation instructionsWith each Lappset product we attach clear assembly andinstallation instructions. Components are clearly numberedin order to make the installation as easy as possible. In theillustrated installation instructions you will find all the necessaryinformation regarding frame connections, assembly of wallelements, panels, roofs and the installation of the structuralelements such as posts, bars, nets, suspension bridges, steps and slides.

Minimum safety zonesThe safety area for each product is shown in the catalogue andalso in the installation instructions. Since products may changeduring the validity of this catalogue, the safety area must always be built according to the installation instructions provided with the product. Up-to-date documents can also be found on the Lappset website.

FoundationAs standard, the playground equipment is installed onunderground foundations. Alternatively, the equipment can besurface mounted. Please specify when placing your order if youwish to opt for surface mounting.

Playground equipment and other items must be permanentlyfixed to the ground.

Some equipment can be fixed to the ground using anchoringparts that must be ordered separately. The traditional use ofconcrete foundations is only required in certain cases. Details ofspecific foundations are given within the installation instructions.

BaseAccording to the EN standards, playground equipment mustbe assembled on a surface the critical fall height of whichcorresponds to the fall height of the equipment. If loosematerials, such as sand with a grain size of 0.2–2 mm or gravelwith a grain size of 2–8 mm, are used, the required layer thicknessvaries between 25 and 40 cm. Safety tiles, which are made ofbonded rubber shred, present an easy-to-clean option for a safefloor material. Elements can be assembled on top of grass, aslong as their critical fall height does not exceed 1 m.

In addition to the shock absorbing base shown in the drawings,the safety sphere extends to at least 150 cm around all parts ofthe product upon which users can climb. Different countries mayhave different regulations regarding this space. Most countriesprohibit allowing sharp and hard objects in this area, such as cutstones or rough tree stumps.

More detailed information on safe floor materials will be suppliedwith the assembly instructions.

InstallationInstallation instructions are sent with all products and must befollowed.

Always read the installation instructions thoroughly beforeinstalling the playground equipment. The equipment mustbe assembled and installed on site following the installationinstructions given by the manufacturer. The minimum safetyzones mentioned in the installation instructions must also beadhered to.

Elevation and footing depths of the equipment must followthe instructions. The vertical parts must be vertical and thehorizontal parts must be horizontal, as otherwise certain plannedinclinations in the equipment may not conform to safety norms.If the guidelines for minimum safety zones mentioned in theinstallation instructions are not followed, the installer may haveto accept the consequences of this negligence and compensatefor any injuries sustained within the minimum safety zones.

commissioning of the PlaygroundBefore using the play area, a handover inspection should beperformed. The handover inspection, log book and assemblyinstructions accompanying the order confirmation or delivery areprovided to facilitate the inspection into the safety of the playarea and to ensure that the facility has been correctly installed.Any missing items or damage sustained during transportationshould be reported when unpacking the delivery and within 14days of receiving the goods. Please remember that the playarea should not be used until the site has been cleared and theplayground declared safe!

Inspection and maintenanceSafety of playground equipment results from:

- correct installation, including inspection,- appropriate surfacing and- regular maintenance.

Ensure the continuous safety of your playground by regularsafety inspections and maintenance procedures using theLappset Service Manual. When drawing up the inspection andmaintenance plan of the playground, consider the playground’susage and susceptibility to vandalism. Carefully documentthe inspection and maintenance procedures. Access to theplayground has to be restricted if the playground is not safe touse.

Information on deliveriesIf you have placed an order and need information on the deliveryor if you have a problem with the delivery, please contact yourlocal distributor.

Terms of deliveryPrices include goods-in-transit insurance and freight costs.The products are delivered to the client’s property; the client isresponsible for unloading the lorry. Please make sure that youhave the necessary unloading equipment ready to avoid delays.Orders for standard products can be cancelled without any extracost within 8 days of placing the order. Cancellations of ordersfor customised MyDesign Q products are subject to a charge of70% of the product’s price. The delivery time can be postponedonce (by a maximum of one month), but no later than one (1)week before the date on which the delivery vehicle is due toleave the factory.

A small delivery surcharge is levied on deliveries of small batches.

Delivery timeWe deliver within 2–8 weeks from receiving your order, dependingon the season and the products. Please order standard productswell in advance — no later than 4 weeks before you need them— to ensure that we can provide you with the product at areasonable price even in high season. We normally reserve around8 weeks for delivering products that have only been introducedin the most recent catalogue.

Product modificationsWe develop our products constantly in line with internationalstandards concerning both safety and quality. Therefore wereserve the right to modify our products and prices.

ProDUcT SYMBolS

Four important factorsIn order to understand better how Lappset products exercise various skills, a motor skills assessment system has been developed. The system symbols,numbered from one to three, represent the equipment’s effectiveness in exercising motor skills according to four essential motor variables. The motorvariables are: balance, strength, spatial perception and sense of rhythm.

Motor skill symbol number 3 means the apparatus exercises motor skills to a high degree. The motor skill values are calculated according to the lowestage group for which the equipment is intended. Product information provided in the illustrations uses various symbols to denote which motor skillsrelate to each exercise.
