Lake June West residents will soon capture the home town flavor of Lake Placid. The Chamber of Commerce, Jaycees, Elks Club and other area businesses organize and support all children activities and holidays. With fall in the air, October is popular for arts and crafts shows, pumpkin carving contests and Halloween festivities.

The ghosts and goblins will be haunting those who visi t Terror Trai l 2011 sponsored by the Human Society, 7321 Haywood Taylor lane, Sebring, 863 214 6508. Terror Trail is open every Friday and Saturday night in October from 7:30 pm- 10pm. Highlands Little Theater offers ghost tours from 6:30-8:30pm beginning Friday October 28 thru Sunday October 30th.

For Trick or Treaters under 5 years of age visit the Lake Placid High School football field Saturday October 29 from 4-7pm.

Sherman Yeomans, who has a home on Lake Henry, couldn ʼ t pass up the opportunity to buy a Lake June West townhome for an investment.
