Installing on your PC Kubuntu:

Type in a terminal: sudo apt-get install kde-connect (without quotes)

Enter your password, and type Y if asked todo so.

You will now find KDE Connect in you KDE System Settings

Other distros:

You can search your distro's repositories for apackage.

Installing on your mobile device From the Google Play Store

Open up the Play Store

Type 'KDE Connect' in the search box, this will bring up a list.

Click on KDE Connect and then Install, accept what it needs and then you have it installed.

From F-Droid

Open up https://f-droid.org/ in you mobile's browser.

Click on the Browse link

Search for KDE Connect

Once you found it, get the APK from a link.

Once the download finishes, open the APK via yourfavorite file browser.

Installation will now begin, and after it you haveinstalled it.

How to pair your deviceYou have to be on the same WiFi network, otherwise it will not work.

From the PC

Open up System Settings

Select KDE Connect

On the left side you will see yourdevices, select the one you'd like toconnect to.

On the right side, select 'Requestpair' and your phone will need toaccept the request.

You are paired!

From the device

Open the 'KDE Connect' app.

From the 'Not paired device'list, select the device you'd pairwith.

Your PC will receive anotification regarding whetheryou'd like to accept it.

You are now paired!

Enabling VLC MPRIS1. This is very easy, on the PC you have to

enable the Multimedia Control Receiverplugin.

2. On the device, click Open Remote Control.You are now in the control!

Notifications1. They are done in the same fashion as enabling VLC MPRIS, but here you have to select

the Notification sync plugin

2. Select which notifications you want to send to the PC on the device.
