Sumaya po ang buhay ko. Nakakabili po ako ng mga gusto ko pong kainin tulad ng paksiw at adobo atsaka kalabasa. Nabibilhan ko rin po ng mga regalo kapatid ko. At nagiging busy po ako dahil may taping po ako ng bago kong show.

Sino ang nagturo sa iyo ng kakaiba mong cha cha step? Inakala mo bang magiging usong-uso ito?

Yung katabi ko po (Kuya Jack). Naka pang chef ako na costume nun tapos may music po. Nagkatuwaan lang po kami tapos ayun po, nag cha cha po ako tapos dinagdagan ni Kuya Jack ng galaw ang mga kamay po.

Sinu-sino ang mga gusto mong pasalamatan sa tagumpay mo?

Si Bossing (Vic Sotto) po at ang buong Eat Bulaga dahil kung hindi po sa kanila, hindi po ako magiging artista. Ang mga fans rin po dahil sila ang sumusuporta sa akin. Masaya po ako pag nakikita ko silang masaya. Pero ayoko po pag kinukurot ako kasi masakit.

Katulad ko po- bibo, masunurin, mataba, mabait, makulit at sumusunod sa magulang at nag-aaral nang mabuti.

Sa limang dekada ni German Moreno sa showbiz, siya na marahil ang pinaka kilala at matatag na host, comedian, at talent manager sa Pilipinas. Mula sa pagiging janitor at telonero (curtain raiser) sa Clover Theater, nagtanghal siya sa bodabil nang matapos ang giyera. Mula nang mag host siya ng GMA Supershow noong late ‘70s, tuluy-tuloy na ang pagiging markado ni Kuya Germs sa showbiz with That’s Entertainment, at hanggang ngayon, ang Walang Tulugan with Master Showman.

Napakarami at napaka valuable ng mga kontribusyon ninyo sa industriya. Alin sa mga ito ang inyong initatanging mga milestone?

Syempre yung mabigyan ng pagkakataon na magkaroon ng show dito sa GMA, from Germside then Germspesyal to GMA Supershow. Itinuturing ko ding milestone ang mga personalities na dumaan sa alaga ko - sina Jackie Lou Blanco, Sharon Cuneta, Dawn Zulueta, Zsa Zsa Padilla; yung mga nag-gragraduate sa That’s Entertainment tulad nila Lea Salonga, Ruffa G, Vina Morales. It’s an achievement for me dahil may mga taong nagtiwala talaga sa akin at sa skill ko sa pag-spot ng talent.

Sino sa totoong buhay si “Kuya Germs”?

Love ko ang showbiz. Matapat ako. I’m not perfect but I try my best to be loyal, hindi nasisilaw sa pera. Maraming pagsubok ang dinaanan ko pero naging loyal ako sa GMA dahil I want to prove something. Palagi ko pine-pray kay God na kung meron pa akong kelangan gawin dito at may maitutulong pa ako sa industriya, dito nalang muna ako kesa wala akong ginagawa sa taas.

Ano ang inyong staying power?

Minsan nga binibiro ako na GMA actually means German Moreno and Associates (laughs) (He has been with GMA for 40 years-Ed).

Staying power ko yung relationships ko sa tao, yung PR. Ayoko maging plastic. Lagi kong pinagmamalaki kung paano ako nagsimula. Hindi ko masyado pinapahalagahan ang salapi. May kasabihan ako na ang kaibigan ang pinaka measure kung gaano kayaman ang isang tao. I share what I have with the people I discover, and with my friends. Lahat ng mga nasa network shine share-an ko po.

From GMA Supershow to That’s Entertainment to Walang Tulugan with Master Showman, ano ang pinaka memorable moment ninyo?

Maraming ups and downs sa career ko at lahat ‘yun memorable. Hindi ako sumuko. Nagpapasalamat ako’t sa dami kong pinagdaanan ay marami parin akong nakukuhang awards - People’s Choice, Gawad Tanglaw, Film Academy of the Philippines - yung shows ko nagkaroon rin po dito sa Pilipinas at sa ibang bansa rin.

Proud din po ako dun sa Walk of Fame Philippines, galing ito sa sarili kong funds. Malaking pasasalamat ko na may mga donors po that support my cause na gawing City of Stars ang Quezon City dahil andito po ang mga networks natin.
