The 3rd Annual Trade Show will be held on

October 22 at the West Des Moines Sheraton

Hotel from 5 - 8 pm. Around the World of

Property Management will continue the tradi-

tion of being the top industry trade show!

Letter from the PresidentThe CIAA is a volunteer-driven organization. Without members giving their time, an associa-

tion like ours can not prosper. Volunteering gives you the opportunity to get to know how the

association works and opens up opportunities to become a member of the Board of Directors.

Members are sometimes concerned that they wont know what to do or that they wont havetime once they commit. The Board of Directors works closely with all volunteers, and any

time that can be given is greatly appreciated. A lot goes on behind the scenes to keep our asso-

ciation ticking. We need YOU involved to continue bringing the members the opportunities

they have come to expect. Contact any board member to get involved and take an active role!

Fair Housing is one of the CAM modules. Since we have a large venue for our CAM classes,

our Education Committee is extending Fair Housing and Beyond to anyone who may have

missed our two classes earlier this year. The class will be held September 2.

Since CAM students are already registered for the Fair Housing module, get your registrations

and payment in as soon as possible to assure your spot at the table! Registration is attached!

Single Wire, Single Dish Satellite InstallationSingle Wire, Single Dish Satellite InstallationSingle Wire, Single Dish Satellite InstallationPresented by Jim Van Dyke, President of ICS Advanced Technologies

Tired of all those satellite dishes littering your property, magically appearing in the middle of the night, and fighting to

get them removed? Jim will explain an exclusive program available to you that will not only remove the unsightly

dishes attached to your siding and roofs, but offer your residents a choice between cable and satellite without compro-

mising your buildings. Highlights of this presentation will include:

    Factors of MDU Vacancy.

Brief discussion on how having DIRECTV available increases the value of a property. Residents demand access to an HDTV solution.

How technology can provide leasing incentives and increase traffic to your property.

Telecom act of 1996 and recent FCC rulings say you must allow satellite TV.

You can still legally get all the renegade dishes off your property by providing an alternative.

Why not offer the best zero cost solution?
