About JSS Mahavidyapeetha

The Jagadguru Veerasimhaasana Peetha established in the 11th Century A.D. at Suttur by Adi Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Shivayogi Mahaswamiji. The 23rd pontiff Rajaguru Tilaka Dr. Sri Sri Shivaratri Rajendra Mahaswamiji established JSS Mahavidyapeetha in 1954. Under the leadership of the present pontiff, the 24th Peethadhyaksha, His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, the Mahavidyapeetha has not only established educational institutions in places where necessary, it has also made sure that all these institutions impart quality education. Engineering, medical, dental and law colleges run by JSS are reputed to be the best educational institutions of their kind in the state and country.

JSS Academy of Technical Education (JSSATE) was established in the year 1997 at Bengaluru and is under the umbrella of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru. JSSATE is the result of the vision of our President, His Holiness Jagadaguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji to proactively participate in establishing a world class Institution for Technical Education. The Campus is located in a sprawling 21.17 acres land surrounded by lush green plantation on the South-Western edge of Bengaluru City. Institution is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, India. The institution has an excellent infrastructure with the state of the art equipment and machinery as laboratory facilities. The institute has highly qualified faculty and has initiated number of multi-discipinary and multi-institutional R&D Programs.

The department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) was established in the year 1997, with the objective of imparting quality education in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. The department was accredited by NBA-AICTE in 2007. The department has to its credit a team of qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty, whose main aim is to equip students with the knowledge and expertise to grow professionally and contribute significantly to the society.

The department is recognized as research centre by Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. Faculty members are actively involved in publishing research paper in various

National /International Journals and Conferences. The department regularly organizes Student development programs, faculty development programs, conferences and workshops. Continuous interaction with industries is estab-lished through MOUs, Industry visits and Internships. Department has membership with professional bodies and conducts various technical activities. The department has technical forum called INiT (Innovation in Technology) which is responsible for research and development of innovative ideas.

About the Department of Information Science and Engineering

“To emerge as a center of academic excellence, by producing competent professionals to meet the global challenges in the field of Information Science and Technology”The Department of Information Science and Engineering (ISE) started in the year 1999. The Department has current intake of 90. The department was accredited by NBA-AICTE in 2007. Department is strengthened by well qualified faculty members whose main aim is to make students aware of the cutting edge technology with competence, commitment & team work. The Department comprises of excellent infrastructure with well equipped Laboratories, Class rooms and Departmental Library. The Student forum SAMYOG is solely for the benefit of student community. The students actively take part in the co-curricular activities like project, paper & poster presentations, coding, debugging etc.

The students of the department have recorded very good performance in competitive examinations and admitted in the top Universities of the world. An industry interaction is established through MOUs. Sponsored projects & industrial visits, Invited lecturers, workshops, seminars and webinars are also organized on a regular basis in emerging technologies from experts of industries and institutions. Many of our faculty members and students have published and presented papers in reputed Nationals and International journals and conferences.

About the Conference

The CCIP 2017 is the third international conference on cognitive computing and information processing domain being held in India. Cognitive computing and information processing is a multi-disciplinary research field that addresses the development of intelligent systems inspired by the Cognitive Science and Neuropsychology to implement brain like mechanism for better learning, reasoning and engaging. Development of such systems helps in addressing problems across different fields like computational intelligence, artificial intelligence, system sciences, cognitive robotics, knowledge engineering, neuroscience and informatics. This conference aims at bringing researchers, graduate students, practitioners from industry to report and review current progress in the field of cognitive computing and information processing.

Paper Submission

Potential authors may submit their original and unpublished research work for consideration. Paper submission would be through EasyChair. All submissions to the conference should be written in English with a maximum paper length of 12 printed pages including figures. Submitted papers will undergo a peer review process. The proceedings of the conference will be published in Springer CCIS proceedings (Indexed in DBLP, Scopus, Google Scholar, EI-Compendex, Mathematical Reviews, SCImago).
