Journal  #10    The  show  I  chose  to  watch  was  New  Girl.  I  decided  on  this  mainly  because  it  is  right  after  Glee  and  I  love  Zooey  Deschanel.  The  fashion  trend  I  noticed  in  this  show  from  her  character  Jess  is  almost  of  mix  of  bohemian  with  bright  colors  and  patterns.  On  the  show  Jess  has  her  own  style  that  can  be  considered  dorky  or  geeky  but  some  how  it  actually  works.    I  think  this  trend  will  emerge  from  this  show  because  fashion  is  all  about  making  a  statement  as  well  as  letting  your  own  creative  style  come  though.  I  feel  as  though  this  trend  will  allow  girls  to  express  themselves  with  different  colors  and  patters  while  still  being  fashionable.  Girls  like  to  be  comfortable  with  what  they  are  wearing  and  I  think  that  this  style  is  completely  fashionable  and  comfortable  at  the  same  time,  which  makes  it  perfect.    Many  stores  have  already  succeeded  in  this  trend  like  Urban  Outfitters  and  even  Forever  21.  While  this  trend  has  been  around  for  a  while  I  think  it  will  really  start  to  take  off  because  of  the  show  and  it  is  not  considered  to  be  doughty  or  dorky  anymore.
