GLASS
All our doors are supplied with clear Pilkington K toughened double glazed units asstandard, Pilkington K S argon filled with warm edge spacers is also available for evengreater energy efficiency. Textured patterns, lead and opaque are also available seewebsite. Windows are supplied with Pilkington K S argon filled double glazed units withwarm edge spacers.
FINISHES
Doors and windows can be supplied fully factory spray finished (stained or painted) usingthe Teknos system or we can apply a base coat and supply the top coat – see website forfurther information and more available colours.
WINDOWS
We can make many different types of windows. The two main types are below:-
Stormproof WindowsThese windows are a modern variation of the traditionalcasement window. On a stormproof window the casementslightly overlaps when closed to ensure a completely watertight/weathertight fit. Stormproof windows are fitted withmodern friction hinges as standard, these allow the window tostay open without the need for casement stays. Traditionalstormproof hinges are also available but with this option youwould need casement stays. Stormproof windows are fittedwith espagnolette locking systems as
Flush Casement WindowsThese windows are more traditional in design. Unlikestormproof windows the panes sit flush with the frameof the window when closed rather than overlapping.Our flush casement windows are fitted with heavy dutyball bearing butt hinges (stainless steel or brass PVDfinish) and locking fasteners and casement stays.See the website for more information on windows.
