Accomplishments in this position:

Developed and documented a comprehensive compliance audit program which tested the effectiveness of credit union compliance with federal and state laws and regulations. This position assisted in acquiring expansive knowledge and experience in researching regulations and opinions on the application of same to credit union policies and practices.

Participated on multiple credit union projects to evaluate, acquire and install software designed to improve efficiencies, member services and compliance while reducing operating expense. Some examples of these are the installation




of Patriot Officer, used to monitor over six million daily transactions to detect activity that must be reported under the Bank Secrecy Act and reduce fraud. A procurement program which streamlined the acquisition process and improved efficiencies and reduced cost. An electronic audit work paper program (AutoAudit) that created a uniform product and centralized the audit work paper process and improved the draft and final report preparation time resulting in a timely reporting function.

Documented procedures on recurring audits and served as a training and mentoring resource for the department.

Directed the credit union’s participation in the 2000 Combined Federal Campaign and assisted in the development of an online pledge processing system that broke participation and contribution records while eliminating 95% of the manual work that accompanied this program in the past.
