Synthetic and real stones look exactly the same, they can be distinguished only in laboratory or in State Prove Commission. How it all began?

At the end of 1976 the administration of SWAROVSKI company wanted to surprise and congratulate their employees for New Years Celebrations and presented them unordinary glass souvenir – a small mouse which was collected from four pieces of crystals from lustre. This invention turned out to be extremely successful. The crystal mouse admired everyone and afterwards was perfectly sold out. This amusement idea leaded the company to create a new branch of crystal manufacturing. The first figurine ever to be created is still a top seller.

Soon from the conveyor have descended a hedgehog, turtle, deer, a rhinoceros, and a swan…
