METRO SUBWAY Repair or Replacement of Rogers Passerelle

DESCRIPTION: A report received in April 2017 has recommended replacement of the Rogers Passerelle superstructure due to chloride contamination.

IMPACT: No access to station via Passerelle during construction. MOT in bus lanes under Passerelle during construction.

Repairs to Metro Aerial, Bridge, and Station Structures II

DESCRIPTION: Continuation of metro repairs.

IMPACT: Work in stations and on the tracks will impact the travelling public.

Metro Cross Passage Door Repair/Replacement

DESCRIPTION: Cross Passage doors within metro tunnels will be repaired or replaced. Construction Documents (design) to begin November 2017.

IMPACT: Will coordinate with Metro/Track & Structures for minimal impact. Plan to repair/replace cross-passage doors at time of Metro service interruption scheduled for summer of 2019 (7 Stations from Charles Center to West Cold Spring).

Metro State Center Station Elevator Structural Repairs

DESCRIPTION: Removal and replacement of elevator shaft and cab.

IMPACT: Shutdown of elevator for 120 days to begin January 8, 2018.

LIGHT RAILPatapsco River Bridge Tie Replacement

DESCRIPTION: Replacement of timber ties on the Patapsco River bridge.

IMPACT: Both tracks on bridge to be closed as part of the schedule Summer 2019 shutdown.

BWI Business Park Pedestrian Crossing

DESCRIPTION: Repairs to pedestrian grade crossings. Work to begin December 8, 2017.

IMPACT: Weekend disruption to use of pedestrian grade crossings.

LTR Priority Sites for Erosion Repair- NE 445 and SE 287

DESCRIPTION: Erosion repairs along the Light Rail tracks near Bellona Avenue and North Linthicum Station.

IMPACT: Possible weekend single-tracking for equipment and material delivery and removal.

LTR Culvert Replacement at 204 S

DESCRIPTION: Replacement of culvert under tracks.

IMPACT: Possible weekend single-tracking for the purpose of delivering equipment and materials to site.

Patapsco Ave Station Park & Ride Pavement Repairs

DESCRIPTION: Pavement repairs and rehabilitation to existing station parking lot.

IMPACT: Lot will remain open during repairs while allowing bus, ridership, and pedestrian traffic to flow with minimal impact.

BUS White Marsh P&R Lot

DESCRIPTION: Emergency pavement repairs in MDOT MTA parking lots.

IMPACT: Temporary fenced off areas of parking spaces in Lots 1 and 2 will continue until repairs are complete. Major construction work to be performed on weekends.

Kirk Bus Modernization Phase 2

DESCRIPTION: Phase 2 includes demolishing the existing kirk bus division and constructing a new bus storage facility on the site.

IMPACT: NTP to contractor to be issued for 1/15/2017. All operations and equipment/assets identified to be relocated will need to move from the facility prior to start of demolition.
