Welcome Rod and Lynn Dowling The MMM family would like to extend a heartfelt welcome and Hallelujah to Rod and Lynn Dowling as Tasmania’s Regional Manager. Although not new to the MMM Tassie family having been involved as associates on various projects these past few years, they have been a great answer to prayer filling the vacancy in Tasmania. Rod runs his own business involved with the construction industry and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role. Rod and Lynn are long time members of Freelife Church in Launceston who prayed for them, with Terry Baxter, last Sunday, February 2 (see photos below).

Rod & Lyn officially started with MMM on January 6th and are heading up both the MMM Australia work and the MMM Build opportunities in Tassie. Already we are starting to see requests for assistance coming through for Tassie, something that was rare last year.

With God’s provision of Rod and Lynn, there is a real sense of optimism and positivity in Tasmania as they start to promote MMM, look to raise funds, and complete projects across the state. Rod & Lyn will be putting together a new fresh state committee in the next month or so to work with them and grow the influence of the mission and MMM Build in the Region (If you can help them in this, please call them at the MMM Tas Centre - 6398 2993).

We were blessed to have both Rod & Lyn attend part of the annual state leaders conference and AGM in December 2013 and we’re genuinely excited to have them on the MMM Team.

Serving Katoomba Christian Convention

The final project for MMM in NSW in 2013 was 2 weeks in December at Katoomba Christian Convention (KCC). KCC have a great Christian ministry to the Christian and wider community and we have a long history of helping them when they have asked for assistance, and asking them if we could assist them with anything. This time, the work included the renovation of the girls shower block at Mountain Camp including painting, tiling and replacing taps to improve the function and appeal of the site. As KCC run many large Christian conferences through the year there is a large demand for meeting rooms. Our team were able to convert two double garages at Kedumba and Hartley Lodges into new meeting rooms (see before/after photos), along with assistance provided by KCC’s team, these rooms were completed and in use at conferences in January. We also painted several rooms at Clairvaux centre. It wasn’t all work, the Ladies enjoyed an afternoon of fellowship at the Chocolate Factory over hot chocolate, coffee and cake, whilst the men kept working! MMM Vic at Fusion Mornington

MMM Vic Team completed a key project for Fusion Australia to kick-start the project work in Victoria. The ministry Fusion offers to the Mornington is a great witness of Christ’s love and compassion to broken and needy. Offering emergency accommodation to those in need, MMM’s ability to assist them with their accommodation was a great example of one part of the body of the Christ blessing another part. The project was to completed the renovation of 7 crisis accommodation rooms at the Fusion Mt Martha accommodation centre - painting, window and wardrobe repairs amongst other tasks. The job was 5 days from start to finish and the Fusion team were “over the moon” with the effort and the results - enough so that the local newspaper were contacted and ran a short feature on the work Fusion do in the community, and about our team helping them out. Tim & Julie Strange who head up the work there were amazed at the rapid progress and commented to our CEO Terrence Baxter on his visit to the site that “this is a true blessing from God”. Fusion CEO John Latten commented in a communiqué “I’m very excited that this project at Mornington worked so well, the team are so excited about the transformation.” Well done to the team lead by Ian Story and consisting of Noel Taylor, Cedric Wyndham, Ian’s wife Bev, Kim Roediger, Alan Keating, Brian Chisholm, Ian & Marilyn Wilson and Kerryn & Robert Reith. MMM WA “Serving those who Serve” Life in ministry can get very busy and time consuming. Often as we go about the business that God has called us to do, our commitment and dedication leads us to put personal needs low on the priority list. Carl Carmody is the editor of Challenge: the good news paper, a non-profit organisation which publish this evangelistic newspaper to encourage and help Christians to share their faith and readers the opportunity to learn about Jesus Christ. Carl’s ministry often sees him spend many weeks away from home throughout the year, and as a result it is often hard to keep up with those household maintenance and repair jobs. MMMWA were approached to see if they could give some assistance to replace battens and shade cloth over a Carport and front Veranda. Ab and Trevor were soon onsite working alongside Carl. With the extra hands the project was completed in three days; great fellowship was had by all and Carl was very appreciative “I just could not have done this alone, Thank You MMM”

Terry Baxter, recently appointed CEO of MMM Australia, will be in Queensland from the 11th - 13th February to meet with us, look at project prospects and meet with anyone who would like to see him. During this time, Terry, will spend some time informing you of the plans for MMM QLD this year, seeking your involvement to further the MMM work in QLD and seeking interested people to form a new regional committee, among other things.

Project work at “Church on the Rise” Beerwah - Helping Out

In the last few weeks, John Cooper has been working at Beerwah AOG, installing all the plumbing for their new ablution block extension. He has enjoyed some assistance from Justin Cooper, our son. Justin was able to drop by in the afternoons after he haf finished work, to help Dad on the job.

We attended their service a few weeks ago and it was lovely to make the connection as we shared about the MMM work, that they support the ministry of AAOM in Western Australia where we helped with a team last year in Halls Creek and have plans to assist the ministry this year in Kununurra, WA.

Painters Needed for Beerwah “Church on the Rise”

When the work is finished on the new extension at Beerwah AOG, we will be seeking the assistance of painters. If you think you may be available in a few weeks/month from now, please be in touch with MMM Qld to register your interest. There is plenty of parking for caravans onsite and facilities.

They will travel to NT when projects are operating there. Pray for a great relationship with the leaders of the church that now operates on the QLD property. Praise God for several tradies in QLD expressing an interest in assisting on projects. NT - Praise God for the new tenants Jason & Jean Blockey, at the Darwin MMM Centre. Pray they will settle well into the house. Give thanks for Jason becoming a Committee member. Pray that pastors in remote areas of Northern Australia will submit applications for assistance so their churches can be included in this year’s Safari. Pray for funds to come in for materials needed to undertake basic maintenance as they do not have money to enable them to undertake this much needed work themselves. Thurs 13th - VIC Pray for the gathering of people at the Mitcham office this evening to be encouraged to become involved in MMM as they hear information & an update on our future development. Praise God for the wonderful, faithful servants of the Lord who use their skills on MMM projects to bless, encourage & better equip Christian ministries. Pray for growth of the ministries we have assisted & that they will be effective in advancing God’s kingdom. Sat 22nd - MMBuildABond Pray for safe travel for Noel Taylor & Kim Roediger as they leave today for the MMMZambia Vocational Training Centre in Ndola, Zambia to teach some students, in the roll-forming and the CAD program. Pray for the whole team as they then travel to Chibobo, to help on a project to build 2 classroom blocks & 5 staff houses, over the next 4 weeks. Pray for team unity & good health for all the members. QLD - Praise God that the work at Beerwah “Church on the Rise” AOG with plumbing into the new extension is progressing well. Pray for carpenters to be available to assist with work projects in QLD. Pray also for interest in attending a prayer group starting up in Sth East QLD once a month.

WA - Praise God for the efforts of Trevor & Karen Beard in leading the ministry of MMM in WA. Pray they will know God’s guidance & experience his blessings as they serve him. Pray for at least another 2 couples of God’s choosing to come forward & join the Committee there.

Pray that all in MMM will be pleasing witnesses for the Lord, good stewards of God’s provisions & an encouragement to those they connect with, for God’s glory. Pray for fundraising ideas & committed people in all regions of Australia. Wed 26th - Staff meeting at Head Office, Mitcham Pray for another great staff meeting with updates, opportunity to acknowledge & encourage each other, share ideas , have a devotion & prayer at this monthly gathering. NSW - Give thanks for those who are manning our information stall at the Katoomba Men’s Convention on 1st & 8th March. Pray for many new volunteers & Build contacts from this.

MMM International Alliance - Pray for their new Director, Ross Henson, to know God’s guidance & wisdom to grow MMM’s ministry in Hong Kong, Zambia, New Zealand, Fiji & Thailand. Pray for God to give him physical & spiritual protection. Pray for God’s protection & blessings on the Directors & staff in each of these Centres.

Pray for new MMM Zambia Director, Mrs Florence N-Kaniki to know God’s wisdom & guidance to grow the ministry of MMM Zambia.
