WELCOME TO 2019

The term is off to great start with all students settled in their classes and our teachers providing engaging, quality learning in all classes from day one.

Congratulations to our class SRC Representatives who received their badges at our assembly on Monday. Our House Captains and Vice Captains also received their badges ready to lead their teams this Friday at the Swimming Carnival. HOUSE CAPTAINS AND VICE CAPTAINS Wajaarr (Earth) - Blue Dwayne Robert-Jarrett – Captain Lily Taylor – Captain Isabella Thomas – Vice Captain Dakota Bailey-McDonald – Vice Captain Gurriin (Wind) - White Jimmy Kennedy – Captain Rhiarna Carter – Captain Flynn Peacock – Vice Captain Tayah Harrington – Vice Captain Waagay (Fire) - Yellow Beau Ward – Captain Lily Champion – Captain Brock Midgley – Vice Captain Jaimee-Rose Dolling-Wilske – Vice Captain CARPARK ON LYONS ROAD AND PICK UP TIME It is timely to remind everyone to drive carefully and slowly when entering and leaving the Lyons Road carpark area. We ask that parents and carers walk their children from the gate, hold their hand if they are very young and keep to the pathway as much as possible. Please avoid blocking the entry and exit points with cars so that all children can be collected in a safe manner. It is illegal to stop or park in the bus bay. Periodically the police monitor these areas and people have been booked. School starts at 8.50am and all children are expected to be on time ready to start the day. If children are late on a regular basis, they are missing the early morning class routines and critical learning. School concludes at 2.50pm. We ask that parents do not arrive before 2.45pm and that you wait near the front office if you do arrive earlier. We appreciate your cooperation in helping to keep all our children safe and make our school days run smoothly. Sally Ryan Principal

ALICE IN WONDERLAND Our whole school musical this year is Alice in Wonderland Junior. The evening performance will be held on Thursday, 20 June. Save the date! It was exciting to see so many, approximately 50 students, express an interest in auditioning for lead character roles. Mrs Wilson and Miss Attenborough will be holding auditions during lunch this week. We wish all of our students the best of luck in their audition. We will keep you updated on our progress!
