irreversible damages in the fauna (essay communicative competence)

Irreversible damages in the fauna.
Global warming is causing some irreversible damages in wildlife. There are longer and
more damaging wildfire seasons that destroy native terrestrial animal’s habitat. Additionally,
temperatures and sea level are rising bringing out the death of several sea species that depend on
ice for their survival. Besides, as changes between seasons continue to become less clear, many
flying species are mistiming their migratory pattern making them vulnerable to heat waves,
droughts or cold snaps. Moreover, the natural process of some species is being accelerated,
causing them to be born earlier and also having difficulties in adapting. All these environmental
phenomena might bring the worst consequences, for instance the extinction of some terrestrial,
aquatic and flying species all around the world.
Firstly, global warming has led to disastrous consequences in patterns of behavior in the
habitat, feeding changes and reproductive alterations in terrestrial animals. Early hibernation is
wreaking havoc in mammals. For instance, bears or woodchucks sleep three weeks less than they
did in previous decades. On the other hand, the impact of global warming affects the natural
habitats of animals by directly influencing their food chain. Thus, after the loss of seven hundred
and eighty five species declared extinct, many predatory animals are affected by the small
amount of food. Furthermore, due to the lack of rainfall, the natural environment does not
provide sufficient food for the species. Lately, the global warming is altering the length of
gestation in mammals. As a result, animals are giving birth to premature and weak creatures are
born with a high level of mortality due to lack of food.
Secondly, the continuous increase in temperatures and the destructive human intervention
has been impacting the lives of marine species in terms of habitat loss, the massive extinction
and the pollution of ecosystems. Nowadays, plenty of animals are victims of melting ice caps; as
a consequence, marine animals are losing the place where they live. Besides, they have to
migrate to cooler waters and adapt to a new habitat. On the other hand, many animals are being
directed toward extinction because they depend on ice for their survival. For instance, polar bears
are dying out as a result of immersion. Finally, coral reefs are being weakened by the pollution
of the waters, which is produced by the release of toxic substances in the ocean and the high
temperatures. Consequently, the various species that depend on ecosystems are dangerously
infected.
Thirdly, summers in different parts of the world have just come through the hottest years
in record and those which are more vulnerable and experience this abrupt change most
relentlessly are flying animal species. Birds fall out of the sky dead from heat; they are also
mistiming their migratory pattern because seasons have come less clear. When temperatures rise
flying species start to suffer, if these temperatures continue, the suffering goes on, leading to
organ failure and death, as a consequence of this, baby birds lose their mothers when they are
still dependent on them, both Mothers and babies are most likely to succumb. Many flying
species are dying over the course of days when temperatures rose to and above the critical
Celsius point, the numbers are not settle but if temperatures continue increasing a lot of flying
species may come to an end.
As a conclusion, we can say that global warming is irreversibly impacting the lives of
many species in different ways. For instance, this environmental phenomenon disrupts the
reproductive capacity and biological changes in animals; Moreover, it affects the rupture in the
food chain and on the loss of habitat for the terrestrial, marine and flying species. Nowadays,
seven hundred and eighty five species have been extincted; meanwhile, many animals are being
directed into massive extinction due to high temperatures and the human intervention.
Everyone has interrupted the natural cycle of animals; therefore, it is our duty to protect
all species. Thus, the number of endangered animals will be reduced and we could continue
appreciating the amazing fauna in our world.
