The course will focus on medical terminology for careers in the healthcare field. Skill areas include:

• Healthcare vocabulary analysis – suffix, root, and combinations

• Pronunciation of medical vocabulary • Organization of the human body • Empathy – the human connection to

patient care • Career exploration in healthcare fields
