TESTING REPORT
ON
INTERZONE 4954
Introduction
Due to market requirement of coating with antifungus properties used on the
sweating pipes in the PC market, IPM decided to come out a solution to fulfil this
requirement.
Referring to the success trail from IP Brazil by using Interthane 990 with 1% KT2037
antifungus biocide, IPM do the same to add in antifungus biocides to Interzone 954
for trial. Result is satisfactory both from us and customers.
To differentiate this product after modification of the formulation, a new banner
name has been given to this new product:
INTERZONE 4954
Beside the test report from IP Brazil, IPM provides this technical report which consist
of two parts as stated belows:
PART A : Laboratory trial QC performance
PART B : Site testing on antifungus performance
TEST REPORT FOR INTERZONE 4954
PART A : LAB TRIAL QC PERFORMANCE

Product
:
Interzone 4954 – Antifungal paint
Method:
• Run EAZ000 formulation and add KT2037 (1.00%).
• Check QC Tests & storage stability.

6) Touch Dry (SMT46A)
(400 mics cube applicator)
<=3 hours 4.5 hours
7) Hard Dry (SMT46A) <=18 hours 18 hours
8) Storage Stability 2 months storage result shows this paint still within
specification except viscosity still maintain 6.3-6.4
poises and touch dry at 4.5 hours. Hard dry still
maintain as 18 hours.
Conclusion:
All the QC Test properties are within specification except for viscosity and drying time. The
lab sample size at 250ml may contribute to higher viscosity due to insufficient stirring power
compare to production. Longer touch dry result may not also represent production result as
we can see that hard dry still within specification.
Thus, further monitoring need to be conduct in production scale for final determination of
result.
