eChempax Open Forum (7:30 am - 9:30 am)The first part of the Open Forum will be conducted as a seminar to discuss and exchange ideas, and to address any eChempax related questions as a group. The second segment will give you an opportunity to meet individually with members of the eChempax development team in a lab environment. We encourage you to bring your laptop or tablet device.

This session is open to all attendees. Having eChempax is not a requirement. There is no formal registration for the eChempax Open Forum, so stop by and see us!

104 Documents Forum (2:25 pm - 3:25 pm)Over time several enhancements have been made to areas pertaining to Documents. This session will focus on some of those changes like the collation of documents, cloning of documents, and pdf stamping. There will also be time to discuss what other options you would like to see and share your experiences with fellow users.

105 What You Need to Know About the Portals – Beginner Workshop (2:25 pm - 3:25 pm)This class will give a general hands on overview of the Portals. The instructor will review highlights of the portals and how they can be valuable to you. We will also review personalization and how to view the data you want to see. Last we will review how typical daily tasks can be done with the Portals and how it can enhance your data entry experience.

106 GHS Forum (3:35 pm - 4:35 pm)Last year, we spent some time going over GHS and it’s requirements for those of you who were just starting to look at the regulation. A year later we would like to take a quick look at what Chempax C/S has to offer and then turn the discussion over to you. We would like to focus on planned implementations, where people stand with them, and what needs to done to successfully complete the implementation. Datacor representatives will be on hand to facilitate but we are also looking for feedback from you the end user.

107 Maximizing the Portal – Advanced Workshop* (3:35 pm - 4:35 pm)This workshop is a deeper look at the portals, the beginner workshop is not required if you have experience with the Portals. We will explore how to add table columns and table alerts through hands on exercises. Thursday, May 15, 2014201 Work Flow and Quick Tasks (8:30 am - 9:30 am)Not sure what needs to be done today, check your Action Checklist. Your Action Checklist can consist of items that were created through Work Flow or Quick Tasks. This class will review each of these features and discuss how best to manage your list of items. Keeping a Task List within Chempax C/S can help you become more efficient with your daily functions and help you keep track of the bigger picture as well! This class is a must for anyone who uses Post-It® Notes!

CHEMPAX C/S CLASSESThursday, May 15, 2014202 Applying a Chempax C/S Update Workshop (8:30 am - 9:30 am)This hands on class will lead you through all the steps of performing a Chempax C/S update. This will include backing up your data and tips about using Verify to test the new release. This class will be very useful to those who don’t typically apply their updates and would like a hands on training session.

203 Plant Maintenance Forum (8:30 am - 9:30 am)This class will review the features of Plant Maintenance and any new additions since its release. This will also be an open discussion where you can discuss with your peers and the developers any questions you might have. It is designed to be an open forum where ideas can be shared on the best way to use the new module.

204 The Basics of Keeping Your Financials in Order (9:40 am - 10:40 am)This class will review what should be done daily, weekly and monthly to keep your financials straight. It will include an overview of reports and inquiries to run to catch certain potential problems in each area of your financials. In addition, there will be a real world costing example of what to do when costs go awry. Lastly, there will be a review of what should be done for Posting and End of Month Reconciliation.

206 Mastering NRI – Workshop Part I (9:40 am - 10:40 am)In the past we have discussed multiple ways to get data out of this system. This year we will focus on the New Report Interface. Part 1 of the workshop will walk through changing the filter criteria to meet your needs. We will walk through adding tables and relationships to expand your filtering criteria.

207 Mastering NRI – Workshop Part II (10:50 am - 11:50 am)Part II of this NRI class will expand on the filters you chose and how to have them display on the report. It will focus on the crystal back end. Once you have decided what else needs to be on your report, you can use what you learned in the class to add it to the report. While Part I is not a prerequisite, we may use some examples from that class and flow them through to the crystal portion of the report.

208 Customer Relationship Management (CRM) – Chempax C/S and eChempax (10:50 am - 11:50 am)This course will review different operating procedures that address the day-to-day events of servicing customers. We will demonstrate how to utilize automation and technology within Chempax C/S and eChempax to reduce the number of steps required to complete tasks such as: sending samples, processing returns, handling complaints, accessing MSDS and COAs, distributing literature, price change requests and approvals, special lab requests and sending and tracking quotes.

209 Security Workshop (10:50 am - 11:50 am)Getting started on the portals in your organization may be overwhelming. This workshop will review the different ways to roll out security on the portals so people can have quick access without exposing your entire system. We will walk through examples so you can become familiar with the process and implement it at home.

210 Implementing Barcoding (1:00 pm - 2:00 pm)If you are considering investing in warehouse automation, this class will serve as a blueprint for what you should be doing next. We will give an overview of what Chempax C/S has to offer and what steps should be taken to decide if it is the right fit for you. The class will also cover some of those getting started steps if you decide Barcoding is right for you.

This will be your opportunity to try out the new functionality and spend some time with the Chempax C/S Team on your specific company issues. Bring your questions and have them answered in an intimate setting. In the past, this class has proven to be one of the most anticipated sessions of the conference.

212 Crystal Linking Workshop Part I (1:00 pm - 2:00 pm)Based on customer support records we have found some table linking may not be as straightforward as one might like. This two part class will cover in detail how to link simple and complicated tables. Potential tables to be covered are Remarks and Free fields, but we are also open to suggestions prior to April 1, 2014. Suggestions can be submitted to [email protected]. Please reference this class in the suggestion.

We will also solicit feedback from the community on what they learned during the week and what future enhancements they would like to see. 109 Using ChempaxVB to the Fullest Group Discussion (1:15 pm - 2:15 pm)Are you taking advantage of all that ChempaxVB has to offer? Most customers settle on a subset of features and miss out on literally hundreds of custom and specialty features which are available. This session is intended to facilitate a broad discussion about ideas and experiences using such diverse features as location control, email events, screen customizations, VB.NET, document management, price change tracking, and many other topics. Since some of these will be covered in detail in later classes, you might want to use this class as an overview for the rest of the conference.

110 Introduction to the ChempaxVB Database and MS Access Workshop (1:15 pm - 2:15 pm)This workshop introduces users to the ChempaxVB database. We will explain some of the basic concepts of the MS Access relational database and show you how you can extend the capabilities of ChempaxVB by working directly with the data. You will learn how to best use ChempaxVB’s built-in Table Browser and then go further by using queries and other features of Microsoft Access. We will also review tips and techniques specific to Access 2010 and 2013. If you are new to ChempaxVB, or you are ready to look “under the hood”, this workshop is a must.

111 Customizing ChempaxVB Screens – Basic Workshop (1:15 pm - 2:15 pm)Chempax includes a vast array of options and shortcuts which allow users to change the appearance and usability of Chempax screens. Some of these are cosmetic, such as screen colors and column layouts. Others, such as custom menus, favorites, tooltips, custom help guides and Spanish language support, can greatly aid in productivity. This workshop will give you an opportunity to learn about and practice using these features as well as introduce you to a feature called Custom Control Properties which will allow you to change the layout of any Chempax screen.

112 Customizing ChempaxVB Screens – Advanced Workshop* (2:25 pm - 3:25 pm)With each new release of ChempaxVB, more and more capability has been added to allow the user to change the way Chempax looks and acts. Using the Custom Control Properties feature, you can add your own fields to screens, turn text boxes into drop down lists, and add your own validation rules. This workshop will go beyond the basic features and guide you through the vast array of available options.

113 Customizing ChempaxVB Reports – Basic Workshop* (2:25 pm - 3:25 pm)In addition to providing a repository of data, MS Access is used to produce all standard ChempaxVB reports. This workshop will show you how to customize reports as well as use them as a starting point to create your own specialized versions. We will also show you the correct way to save and publish these reports so that they can be backed up and made available to your users.

114 Accounting Forum (2:25 pm - 4:35 pm)This session will focus on topics specific to the AP, AR and GL modules in ChempaxVB. Each attendee will be invited to submit a “Top 10” list of items they would like to hear discussed. These submissions will be done on-line prior to the conference and attendees will be able to add their items or vote for items submitted by others. 115 Customizing ChempaxVB Reports – Advanced Workshop (3:35 pm - 4:35 pm)For those who are ready to move beyond standard ChempaxVB reports, this workshop will expose you to the powerful set of tools provided by ChempaxVB and MS Access. You will learn how to create and publish your own report and create a form to assist users in running your custom reports. Attendees should have a basic knowledge of Access tables and queries.

CHEMPAX VB CLASSESWednesday, May 14, 2014 116 ChempaxVB.NET – Basic Workshop* (3:35 pm - 4:35 pm)ChempaxVB.NET (a.k.a. DOTNET) is Datacor’s next generation ChempaxVB product. ChempaxVB users have the option of installing DOTNET and using it together with the current ChempaxVB 6 product. The DOTNET interface presents Chempax data in a dynamic “business-centric” style which lets you look at your overall enterprise and then drill down to the part of the business that requires attention. This workshop will give you an opportunity to experience this new style of computing that will continue to replace the current look and feel of the current ChempaxVB 6 product.

Thursday, May 15, 2014216 Logistics Forum (8:30 am - 9:30 am)This session will focus on topics specific to the Inventory Control, Purchasing, Safety and Resource Planning modules in ChempaxVB. Each attendee will be invited to submit a “Top 10” list of items they would like to hear discussed. These submissions will be done on-line prior to the conference and attendees will be able to add their items or vote for items submitted by others. 217 Regulatory Compliance – Moving to GHS Using Labelpax Seminar (8:30 am - 9:30 am)Many customers have inquired about the new GHS (Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling) regulations which become fully effective in June 2015. Labelpax, Datacor’s regulatory documentation software, offers the flexibility to support the HCS/HaxCom 2012 GHS standard for Labeling and SDS. This seminar will review how Labelpax can be used to comply with GHS and will demonstrate some of the new tools available to assist you in making the transition.

218 Tracking Non-Conformance Seminar (8:30 am - 9:30 am)Having a detailed audit trail of customer complaints and other customer service issues can be essential to long-term customer satisfaction, not to mention required for certain industry certifications. ChempaxVB’s Non-Conformance module allows for the standardized entry and tracking of this important data, regardless of whether the non-conformance is tied to a Chempax transaction. The seminar will walk you through the set up process, the data entry screens and the available analysis tools and reports.

219 Analyzing Chempax Data Using MS Excel Workshop (8:30 am - 9:30 am)Does your job involve analyzing data? If so, you probably spend a good deal of your day using MS Excel and much of the data you analyze probably came from Chempax. This workshop will show you various ways to bring Chempax data into Excel and then explore various built-in analysis tools such as queries and pivot tables.

221 Reconciling Data in Chempax Seminar (9:40 am - 10:40 am)One of the more common questions encountered by VB support is: “why does this number not match that number.” This most often comes up for financial data at month or year-end, but it might also relate to costs, inventory, sales and other types of data. This seminar will review the most frequent types of reconciliations that are raised, and explain the tools and techniques that you can use to research these issues. You may be able to avoid a support call, or at the very least, have the answer we’ll need to answer the question as quickly as possible.

CHEMPAX VB CLASSESThursday, May 15, 2014222 Implementing Barcoding Seminar – Part 1 (Basic) (9:40 am - 10:40 am)Although Chempax has offered barcoding for many years, it is only recently that customers have begun to embrace this technology in a serious way. The equipment has improved and dropped in price, the software has improved, and the usage of the technology in Chempax has become “mainstream”. In part one of this 2-part seminar, we will guide you through the steps needed to start using barcode scanners for basic operations such as physical inventory and location transfers.

223 Customer Service Forum (9:40 am - 11:50 am)This session will focus on topics specific to the Order Entry, Invoicing, Pricing and Sales Analysis modules in ChempaxVB. Each attendee will be invited to submit a “Top 10” list of items they would like to hear discussed. These submissions will be done on-line prior to the conference and attendees will be able to add their items or vote for items submitted by others. The items with the most votes will be discussed first during these sessions. The balance of the time will be used for an open discussion.

224 Implementing Barcoding Seminar – Part 2 (Advanced) (10:50 am - 11:50 am)If you’re ready to go beyond basic barcode scanning, this seminar will show you what other customers are currently doing within ChempaxVB, including such features as automatic transfers to staging areas, printing of barcode labels at the receiving dock, real time cycle counting, automated batch receiving and pallet license plating. We’ll take you through the planning and implementation steps that would be needed to utilize these features in your own warehouses.

225 Material Resource Planning – Options for Distributors Seminar (10:50 am - 11:50 am)This course will explore features available in ChempaxVB for analysis and management of inventory, specifically focusing on those that would most benefit a Distributor type business model. We will start with the tools that are available to provide simple yet useful analysis based on current inventory levels and pending transactions. We will also review both the Inventory Management (IM) Module and the Resource Planning (RP) Module, discussing the differences between the two. We will look at the procedures required for the setup and ongoing maintenance of both IM and RP, and follow through with a review of the analysis tools that will be available and the ultimate output once the modules are fully implemented.

226 Intermediate/Advanced MS Access Techniques Workshop (10:50 am - 11:50 am)If you are already familiar with Access tables and queries and you’re ready for more, this workshop will you show you how to further leverage the power of MS Access. We will show you how to create simple data update forms, crosstab queries, sub forms and sub reports, and other features which will allow you to extend the capabilities of Chempax.

227 Manufacturers Forum (1:00 pm - 2:00 pm)About half of the companies that attend Interaxions identify themselves as manufacturers. This seminar will provide an opportunity for attendees from these companies to focus on topics specific to their industry segment and will include the Top 10 lists for the BT and QC modules. Part of the session will be used as an open discussion forum and part will be used for instruction. Each attendee will be invited to submit a “Top 10” list of items they would like to hear discussed. These submissions will be done on-line prior to the conference and attendees will be able to add their items or vote for items submitted by others. The items with the most votes will be discussed first during these sessions. The balance of the time will be used for an open discussion.

228 Document Management Seminar (1:00 pm - 2:00 pm)This seminar will explore the features available for the storage and distribution of documents in ChempaxVB. We will look at the interfaces available for linking documents to ChempaxVB data, and options for automatically creating documents and linking them to various types of Chempax transactions. One area of focus will be the continuing enhancements to the distribution options for documents via Chempax, including the ability to forward “marked up” COAs received from vendors and options to distribute MSDS documents created through Labelpax.

CHEMPAX VB CLASSESThursday, May 15, 2014229 Inventory Posting with Purchasing and AP Seminar (1:00 pm - 2:00 pm)With the increased volatility in pricing that has occurred in recent years, the need for accurately costing inventory has become a larger issue for many chemical companies. ChempaxVB includes features that allow for the simplification of the tracking of inventory costs and ensure that the different views, (Inventory, GL, Accounts Payable and Purchasing), are all in agreement. This seminar explains how to set up the Inventory GL Mapping and use it in conjunction with PO Receipts and AP voucher entry to achieve these objectives.

230 ChempaxVB.NET – Basic Workshop* (1:00 pm - 2:00 pm)ChempaxVB.NET (a.k.a. DOTNET) is Datacor’s next generation ChempaxVB product. 231 Information Technology Forum (2:10 pm - 3:10 pm)This new forum will provide an opportunity for individuals responsible for IT within their organizations to discuss common concerns as they relate to Chempax, including such topics as computing infrastructure, remote access, printers, scheduled tasks, emailing, backup and recovery, etc. Each attendee will be invited to submit a “Top 10” list of items they would like to hear discussed. These submissions will be done on-line prior to the conference and attendees will be able to add their items or vote for items submitted by others. The items with the most votes will be discussed first during these sessions. The balance of the time will be used for an open discussion.

232 Customer Relationship Management (CRM) – ChempaxVB and eChempax (2:10 pm - 3:10 pm)This course will review different operating procedures that address the day-to-day events of servicing customers. We will demonstrate how to utilize automation and technology within ChempaxVB and eChempax to reduce the number of steps required to complete tasks such as: sending samples, processing returns, handling complaints, accessing MSDS and COAs, distributing literature, price change requests and approvals, special Lab requests and sending and tracking quotes.

233 Insights into Posting Inventory Group Discussion (2:10 pm - 3:10 pm)Many customers post some or all of their inventory transactions to the General Ledger in order to keep inventory valuation synchronized to the General Ledger. However, the reconciliation process can often be time consuming due to the large volume of inventory transactions that occur. In an attempt to address one aspect of this (accrued purchases), Datacor has developed a new PO Receipt reconciliation report. This session provides an opportunity to discuss user experiences with the inventory posting process, look at the new report and provide input to Datacor on additional improvements which can be made to this process.

234 ChempaxVB.NET – Advanced Workshop* (2:10 pm - 3:10 pm)For those who have already started to use DOTNET, this will give you an opportunity to look at newly developed features, learn more about advanced grid manipulation and discuss future directions directly with the developers.

In addition, this seminar will explain other tools used by multinationals, such as of pro-forma invoices, NAFTA certificates, import tracking (International Logistics), Spanish language support and Mexican government invoicing requirements.

306 Managing Cost and Price Changes Seminar (9:40 am - 10:40 am)Due to rapidly changing financial conditions, much attention has been paid to the process of changing prices in ChempaxVB. This seminar will review the methods available to plan, implement and analyze price changes in Chempax, and show you how to let your customers know about planned price changes in an efficient and timely manner. We will also demonstrate some of the newer features, including customer/product margins and future pricing based on anticipated “replacement” cost.

307 Customizing ChempaxVB Screens – Advanced Workshop* (9:40 am - 10:40 am)With each new release of ChempaxVB, more and more capability has been added to allow the user to change the way Chempax looks and acts. Using the Custom Control Properties feature, you can add your own fields to screens, turn text boxes into drop down lists, and add your own validation rules. This workshop will go beyond the basic features and guide you through the vast array of available options.

308 ChempaxVB Wrap-up (10:50 am - 11:30 am)As the final session, the Wrap-up will provide an opportunity to discuss potential future directions for ChempaxVB, Datacor’s services and Interaxions itself.
