Purpose of our Forums

• Support application of the NTC process for various roles (new teacher mentor, teacher leader, instructional coach, special education support teacher).

• Provide a structure for collaboration that allows participants to share learning, provide feedback and problem solve barriers.

• Bridge year 1 and year 2 coaches and mentors in order to provide consistency in our understanding of the NTC process and the Marzano Framework.

• Instructional Coaches will be asked to engage in the NTC process with a minimum of 1 teacher or team of teachers this year.

• Instructional Coaches will be asked to utilize and practice with each of the NTC tools.

• The Collaborative Assessment Log guides us to reflect on, prioritize, and address challenges in a constructive, collaborative manner, and identify next steps.

• This tool supports a consistent, multi-step conversation that focuses on identifying an effective roadmap for self-assessment, problem-solving, commitment and follow-through.

• This tool provides ongoing evidence of your work together and tells a story about the professional growth that is taking place.
