May 21 – Monday, Day 1: Depart from USADepart USA on an overnight flight from Philadelphia to Rome.

May 22- Tuesday, Day 2: Arrival in Rome and Sights of St. PaulUpon arrival in Rome, our group is greeted by our English-speaking tour director out-side the customs area. We board the bus and begin our tour. First stop is the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls for a visit and to Celebrate Mass. We continue to Tre Fontane Abbey, where St. Paul was beheaded by order of Emperor Nero. Check into the hotel where we have a welcome dinner with a choice of beverages including wine and a good night’s rest. Dinner at our hotel and overnight Rome. May 23 – Wednesday, Day 3: Papal Audience – Afternoon at leisure This morning we depart early for St. Peter’s Square to attend the Papal Audience (Wednesday only) where we are blessed by our Holy Father, Pope Francis. We cele-brate Mass at the Divine Mercy Church. The afternoon is at leisure to explore Rome on your own. Enjoy lunch and dinner on your own at an outside café! Overnight Rome. May 24 – Thursday Day 4 – Rome – Vatican Museum – St Peter’s Basilica Following breakfast, we are transferred to Vatican Museums to see the Sistine Chapel followed by a visit to St. Peter’s Basilica where we celebrate Mass and have a tour of the Basilica. Tonight we enjoy a dinner of pizza and pasta in a local restaurant. Enjoy a stroll in Rome following dinner. (B, Special Dinner)Mass: Basilica of St. Peter (TBC)

May 25 – Friday, Day 5: Assisi – Sites of St. Francis and St. ClareAfter an early breakfast, we enjoy a full day in Assisi beginning at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels where we celebrate Mass. We visit the basilica and see the Porzi-uncola, the chapel that is the heart of the Franciscan movement. We break for lunch and then transfer to Upper Assisi where we visit San Damiano Convent, the Church of St. Clare and then walk down to the Basilica of St. Francis for a visit. We have some time at leisure to enjoy this medieval town of narrow cobblestone street and an-cient architecture. Dinner in local restaurant in Assisi. Return to Rome for overnight. May 26- Saturday, Day 6: Orvieto- SienaAfter breakfast depart for Orvieto, the site of the Eucharistic Miracle. In nearby Bolse-na, during Mass in 1236, the Consecrated host turned into flesh and began to bleed profusely and stained not only the corpus but also the marble stones of the altar floor. The corpus was taken to Orvieto where it remains today. The result of this miracle was the institution of the Feast of Corpus Christi. Our lunch is in a local restaurant with local wine. Journey through Tuscany brings you to Siena. After a walking tour with a local expert, take some time to explore on your own. We return to Rome. Overnight in Rome. Dinner at the hotel. May 27 – Sunday, Day 7: Roman Basilicas – Relics of Jerusalem – Catacombs Today we visit and explore St. Mary Major and St. John the Lateran, the Cathedral Church of Rome containing sacred relics of Peter and Paul and the magnificent sculp-tures of the twelve apostles. May 28 – Monday, Day 8: Imperial Rome and Baroque SquaresThis morning we celebrate Mass at the Basilica of St. Peter in Chains and have a guided tour of the Basilica. The Mamertine Prison where St. Peter and St. Paul, where impris-oned, is our next stop. We drive over to see the Forum (outside view) and visit the Colos-seum (Inside). We then walk over to the nearby Piazza Navone (where we have time for lunch on our own), the Pantheon, Santa Maria Sopra Minerva, the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain where we can toss a coin and make a wish to return and where our walking tour ends.
