Higher’s Mission & IntentHigher’s Mission & Intent

MISSION: Assist the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) in the conduct of large scale humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR) in all areas of the country affected by Super Typhoons John and Julie and the eruption of Canlaon Volcano in order to save lives, to alleviate human sufferings, protect properties and minimize damages.

INTENT: Provide all available assistance to alleviate human suffering and restore normalcy.

COA 1: Initial CTF HQ will embark and operate from a U.S. Naval amphibious aircraft capable command ship (LHA) for the first 30 days of crisis response. After the initial 30 days, the CTF HQ will forward deploy to affected areas for the duration of operations.

COA 2: Intermediate Staging Area (ISA) on Palawan province will serve as the primary CTF Headquarters. All command and control functions will remain on Palawan for the duration of operations. The CTF will deploy task forces to the affected areas to provide humanitarian assistance.

COA 3: Initially CTF HQ location will be on Palawan Island province. As soon as possible, the CTF HQ will move forward to affected area for the duration of operations. Provide humanitarian assistance.

SITUATIONSITUATION

The situation has not changed, urgent assistance is still needed by the NDCC. The weather is still stable.
